dmspartan 10 Report Share Posted March 12, 2005 Sorry, guys, but the book is unavailable. The difference came at the free throw line: Martinsville was 13 of 27; r e lee was 27 of 47 - figure this one out for yourselves.

beaverbaseball 10 Report Share Posted March 12, 2005 Martinsville Defense must be terrible if they foul that much
GMan 3,569 Report Share Posted March 12, 2005 Martinsville's defense is awesome and very aggresive...the refs called every foul against them all night long...
dmspartan 10 Report Share Posted March 13, 2005 ...while they ignored MOST of the infractions by r e lee. I was told that the reason that this occurred is that the LADY employed by the VHSL to oversee the referees was in attendance courtside, and the referees were doing everything they could to impress her. dmspartan 10 Report Share Posted March 16, 2005 There was a conversation that took place in front of our bench between our coach and one of r e lee's players - not one of the starters but one of the substitutes - in the first half. I could not hear what was said but when the conversation was over, Coach Wells smiled and turned away. I would have loved to have a fly on his coat so that I could have heard what was said. Any guess that I might make would be pure speculation - just let it be said that it definitely was about lee's preparation for this game.
