RenegadeFan 10 Report Share Posted July 11, 2005 i just got word that my dad passed away Wednesday night in his sleep my mom and dad have been seperated for yrs now, but still me and him was close, my dads sisters said they couldnt find any numbers for me or they would have gotten hold of me sooner, said that they done and had his funeral, had it yesterday on July 9th they said the funeral was a success with some of the important military leaders from Washington attending my dads funeral, they said he had the 21 gun solute from not only the local VFW but some present day military men too, said he had the flag over his casket and a bunch of other stuff im just in shock right now, my dad was a good guy, only in his 40s, who was some what healthy and had been all his life just goes to show you that life is to short and that death is no respector of persons, so really cheerish those that you have around you today cause you might not have them tomorrow and for those that might be in situations like i was with a split up home, get to know both your mom and your dad as much as possible, despite of what might have cause the split up, you still will only have one mom and one dad through your life, dont take them for granted and love them as much as possible cause you wont have them forever, trust me i realize that now my aunts say they're suppose to be meeting with lawlers later this week, not sure for what, but they said i might have to be there, they said they'd know more tomorrow and would let me know so really i ask everyone to be praying for me in this trying time of my life! thanxs and God Bless Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

God willing he's in a better place. Prayers for you that you're able to make it through this difficult time and make the best of it. You are correct life is never to be taken for granted. RenegadeFan 10 Author Report Share Posted July 11, 2005 thank you all for the kind words but to add to the worries of the death of my father and friend from high school, i just found out about 45 mins ago that another friend of mine is in the hospital and they are expecting him to die as well he was in a 4 wheeler accident today his skull is crush and the left side of his brain is totally damaged, not even functional from what i understand i've been told that they are doing surgery on his skull, going in to open it up and try to reduce the swelling on the brain i guess only time will tell, they say the surgery is to last about 2hrs, i should know more by 3am so for those that pray, pray for him cause the bad thing about this situation this boy use to know God and be a christian and now he is out of church and just the other night (saturday) made some dangerous comment to a preacher friend of mine as to if God was real and for it to be proved among other things...so be in prayer Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It doesn't seem the most unreasonable of things to question creation in some ways, as bad as that sounds, for to many people to truley seek an answer you consider the other sides, weigh options, ect., and draw conclusions for yourself, rather than believing in someting just because you were told. And sometmes doubt has a way of bringing you closer in the bigger scheme. These are trials. Peter and the disciples doubted even when they lived among Jesus, when Jesus was walking on water as example. Rock solid faith is someting that is hard to attain, and we'll never reach perfection here. Not suggesting I know what's in someone's heart though, but God willing perhaps someting like so was a way of brining someone to repentance at a critical time. tom 10 Report Share Posted July 15, 2005 you might remember, i lost my dad on 9 april..we were fishing on a friday night and saturday morning he had a massive heart attack and died..so in the span of 15 hrs i went from fishin and jokin with him to escorting his body to the funeral home to make plans..it hit me like nothing ever has and im still sufferin over it..my dad was only 57 and appeared healthy and i said then and ill say it now..tell the ones around ya how ya feel and leave nothing unsaid b/c there might not be a tomorrow..i learned that the hard way..good luck Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
buzzsawBeaver 12 Report Share Posted July 16, 2005 I didn't know that had happened tom, our sympathies to yall for that. That is unfortunate. But your words are certainly a fact. You just don't know. That's 1 thing I always think about when people say they wanna just skip these months and go straight to football, cause you don't know, when football season rolls around, maybe someone you love won't be here anymore, or maybe that person who can't wait for football season themselves might not be here anymore. My advice on this subject would be not to ever think like that, enjoy the present day for what or who you have, and for your life, the Bible says that tommorrow is promised to no one.
