Lance 228 Report Share Posted November 24, 2007 I am shocked...I expected Giles to go all of the way this year...wow.
RockinRoonsFan 10 Report Share Posted November 24, 2007 GW had a great game plan today and went out and executed it. Coming to Bluefield to play preseaon games and beefing up their non district schedule really paid off today. They would never have improved this much with just the Hogo schedule. tbgfan 856 Report Share Posted November 24, 2007 Know this is a heartbreaker for the Giles faithful. You, once again, showed you are the benchmark that teams have to play for the Region C championship. Hats off to you for a great season. Congrats to the George Wythe team on their big win. To my favorite Giles niece, will see you at Richlands next week.

RockinRoonsFan 10 Report Share Posted November 24, 2007 Thanks for all the kind words guys. I always believed that to be a quality program, you have to play quality programs. It isn't about putting wins under your belt, it is about preparing to win games 11, 12, 13 and 14. I hope GW continues to be invited to Bluefield to help prepare them. GW is a small school and can't hang over there every year, but if they come over, play hard and leave without an injury, they will be a better team. MavsRock 21 Report Share Posted November 26, 2007 Knowing several people close to Giles' program, I hate this for them, but congrat's to GW and best of luck the rest of the way.
