Guest JJBrickface Report Share Posted December 20, 2007 WVU defeated Radford alst night 90-60 at the Dedmon Center. I was able to go to the game, there was a great turnout of Mountaineer fans. I would say the crowd was 80% WVU fans. With about two minutes to go in the game two Radford student came by waving a michigan basketball jersey while running his mouth. A WVU fan finally ripped it out of his hands and tossed it in the stands. The Radford student then got in an older mans face like he was going to fight him. Security then escorted the student out to a standing ovation by the Mountaineer fans. It was a good time though.

bhs7695 185 Report Share Posted December 20, 2007 I heard there was more talk in the parking lot after the game by a few Radford students to WVU fans and a couple of fights broke out there too. Completely ignorant of Radford students.

VivaFutbol 10 Report Share Posted December 23, 2007 That was a great game, as I sat watching my brother play and then taking a 7-0 lead then having Darris just killed us...good game though. It wasn't as good as the game I attended in Georgetown but other than that, I fell it should have been close but WVU didn't miss the second half. I thought it was a little uncalled for to have Darris announced before the game on RADFORDs HOME COURT. That is like a player from Duke being from Chapel Hill and them giving him a plaque and naming it his day in the town while playing in the Dean Dome. I thought it was stupid and they could have had the WVU team go to Radford High School and do it there. Anyone else think this way?

[/ QUOTE ] UMMMMMMMMMMMMMM no! that is ridiculous to compare WVU vs. RU to UNC vs. Duke. LOL nothing to even compare. The only reason WVU even went to Radford was for Nichols because he is from there and he is a senior. Most schools do this. And most of the time they honor the player. There is more to sports than winning and losing sometimes. This was one of them. Noone even thought radford had a chance...and they didn't. WVU had a hard time getting around the zone at first, but then dropped bombs all 2nd half. He is probably one of the better athletes that has recently came from the area. The city and the University ok'd the idea.

UNC DUKE in not comparable, and most coaches do schedule games so that their players can play a game close to home. Roy Williams does the same thing... VivaFutbol 10 Report Share Posted December 24, 2007 yeah I know, but would they recognizing and have a big ceremony on the mid court line before the national anthem. And I honestly thought we could have won that game. We shut your best player down, #11, and if Darris didn't catch fire...who knows what would have happened. Guest JJBrickface Report Share Posted December 24, 2007 You guys played some good defense early and made some big shots but that was it. Huggins made the necessary adjustments and the game was over after that. Alexander is not the best player on the team, however he does have the most potential. To tell you the truth we played an overall bad game and still won by 30. #24 on Radford was pretty good. The point guard for you guys took too many bad shots. The center played good as well but ran out of gas early in the 2nd half.

Guest JJBrickface Report Share Posted December 25, 2007 2 out of 9 games? wow haha...Dont you get it? You guys dont play your best games the majority of the time. You just arent that good. Thats why Radford loss by 30. If WVU and Radford played 10 times then they would win by 30 or more 9 out of 10 times.
