I have a feeling Grundy will only have one state champ in Ethan O. and maybe either Sean or Josh, Carter has beat Sean both times this year but maybe 3rd time will be the charm or at least I hope and Josh and Rakes or pretty even from what I have heard, I doubt Jermey will beat that Tony kid from Magna Vista because they say he is like unbeatable (then again your not ranked number 1 in the state for no reason) plus Jermey is a little banged up but i really hope he can pull it out because he puts everything he has into wrestling, he worked real hard in the offseason and they say he goes 100% in every pratice... swvasport_7 10 Report Share Posted March 9, 2008 Sean V. and Jermey H. both lost there state title matches but kept it closer than what most people thought they would Carter 13 Sean 3 Tony G.6 Jermey 0 That makes the 3rd time Sean has lost to the kid this year but this was the closest match he had with him all year. It makes the 2nd time Jermey has lost to Tony J. this year but a WHOLE lost closer in the state finals than the regions plus Jermey H. has a real bummed up knee they said on the radio he might have to have surgey. Still to wrestle in the finals is Ethan O. and Josh M. for Grundy which has better chances then the first two. Also Demarco O and Jon Dot finished 7th and Cody R. and Derke finished 5th. Only hope for a state champ now is Josh McCown Im not for sure what the team scores are but i think Christanburg is going to finish first and Grundy 2nd.. Vandyke lost to Devon Carter 13-3. Jeremy lost to Gravely 6-0. Ethan lost to Andrew Williams of Tabb 5-3. McCowen lost to Rakes by pin in 2:46 (hwe was down about 10-0 at the time).
