Warning: With last nights erection, we as a nation, will defy our founding fathers and become a more socialists, or even communist state. I say "erection" because our nation is erecting a new era and new concept of how wealth is distributed in this nation. Why should I bust my a-- and try to further my small business? I'm so disappointed and hate to see our free enterprise system be conpromised!

you are an uneducated idiot.

These people are killing me. Do they really think that the President is going to turn this country into a communist state? Sure some changes will be made, but to say this country is going to become a Socialist state is ridiculous. The republicans idea of economics hasn't worked for the last 8 years, why not try something new? If it doesn't work, then we will try something else in 4 more years. Give it a shot before you start calling for the end of democratic America.

While I agree some economic policies have failed, Socialism has failed every time through history. Thats a fact.

Does Obama have socialistic tendings? Yes. (Spreading the wealth, getting rid of conservative radio allowing for media bias across the board, unions, etc...

We must learn from history to make predictions on the future. Some people looked at the last 8 years, others looked at failed economic policies from further back such as cutting the capitol gains tax.

AGAIN - Socialism:

1. a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole.

2. procedure or practice in accordance with this theory.

3. (in Marxist theory) the stage following capitalism in the transition of a society to communism, characterized by the imperfect implementation of collectivist principles.

Obama is in no way, under any stretch of the imagination a "Socialist"...and again I say McCain's health plan was to give everyone $5k...so under your own idea of what a "socialist" is...McCain is one as well....this is just another reason McCain lost...people are sick of hearing this BS rhetoric...it's silly and most people just don't buy in to the BS.

I believe that he is a socialist, mainlly due to his Marxist economics philosophy. I do not believe that HE alone will turn America into a Socialist state. WE ALREADY ARE ONE.

With the coroporate bailout we only proved our gradual move to a left of center nation. Our economy resembles China and our cultural view of how to handle issues is akin to that of France.

Barack Obama did not bring this about, he will however help lead us in that direction. Nonetheless, the American people have spoken, and I respect the will of the majority. I may not agree with it, but I respect it.

Instead of HATING the victor, because "my man" didn't win the election, I view things differently. We are all Americans and we need to support our president, we can disagree with him on issues and express our concerns, but we should all be prayerful of our new leadership.

I believe that it is a huge disgrace, the way the general public and media has treated George Bush. With more cooperation from Congress and less bipartisanship things could have been better, unfortunately for him his legacy will be marred by negativism. He is our leader and has been for 8 years, I admire and respect any man in that positon, although I have not always agreed with him on the issues.

America needs to move from this "I hate anyone who isn't from my party" attitude and start doing what made America great to begin with, working together.

I admit that I am upset that Barack Obama won the election, but I am man enough to respect the will of the people. I will add however, that their have been many times in history when the majority was wrong. As long as America remains a country that is permitted to correct these errors through the power of elections, I have no problem accepting the faith in majority rule.

later,
