This kid does his job each and everytime we all know that the main job of a D-lineman is and this kid does the job. JamesL_CcLB34 10 Report Share Posted December 4, 2008 said it before but tackles aren't everything you can be an awesome defensive player and not make any tackles especially at the D-line who in some defenses there job is to make the ball bounce and filter the runner to the linebackers, or you can be a shutdown corner and not make a tackle all year.. GetMoney55 11 Report Share Posted December 4, 2008 I agree James. Just because you don't make huge numbers doesn't mean you aren't doing your job. The big mean on the D-Line who clog holes making the tackles possible for the linebackers have just as much emphasis on the tackle as the tacklers do. For DB's, a good clean defensive play on a receiver, making the quarterback unable to hit him for a gain, doesn't go down in the stat books, but it's just as important as a pass breakup or tackle. techfan 43 Report Share Posted December 4, 2008 Roy Christian for 3 years has had one job and thats to clog the holes and let Brett Clayborne, Shane Wicks and Derek Jackson chase the ball down and make the tackles considering the fact that in the last three years those have been the best 3 linebackers in the district I would say that Roy does his job extremely well. I know for a fact that Nicley kid from Marion had tied with Lanning with tackles for the year and caused more turnovers. Briscoe led the district in tackles.They didn't get credit where credit is due.I like the picks from Tazwell but I know a that some guys didn't get what they deserve!!!!!!!!!!!!
