Deleted Account 5,203 Report Share Posted March 11, 2009 Now I could understand if this school were a team near an ocean. Since these "animals" are bivalves, anyhow. But isn't this school in Missouri? That's a bit bizarre. And when did Bluefield College get good at basketball?
g20man 10 Report Share Posted March 11, 2009 no, the tournament game was in missouri, the evergreen state college geoducks are in Washington (the state) this is the best year bluefield has had in a while, other years have been decent bluefield actually lost today to them by 15 (101-86) omar reed had 31 pts, 15 rebs a guy from ESC had 48 points

Bluefield has done pretty well in their classification over the years...weren't they National runners-up or National Champs one year several years back? Makes a lot more sense. ;) Not a solid defensive game for either, it appears.

GMan 3,569 Author Report Share Posted March 12, 2009 Bluefield has done pretty well in their classification over the years...weren't they National runners-up or National Champs one year several years back? That was when they played in the NLCAA back in the day and also in the National Christian College tournament several years ago, not in the NAIA... no, not even close lolthey have been to the national tournament 9 times including this year and there record is now 1-8 1-9...and that is their record in the NAIA tournament... BTW, does anyone remember back in the late 80s when BC put up 154 vs. Knoxville College...Todd Hopkins, Ralph Stovall, and Fred Phillips all lit it up that night...if I remember correctly Hopkins had 50+, Stovall had 40+, and Phillips had 30+...
