redtiger 1,740 Report Share Posted October 24, 2015 The problem is a responsible adult, with proper training, will be better equipped to decide if its use is appropriate than someone who is carrying to be bad or tough. Carrying a firearm is great for a variety of reasons and I encourage as many people as possible to do so but it is a responsibility that one is taking on. Carrying a firearm isint power, its responsibility. That firearm doesnt give the owner the right to do whatever they want, common sense and discression are a must. There are a lot of thugs out there that do whatever it takes to make them feel tough, that type of ignorance is incredibly dangerous
redtiger 1,740 Report Share Posted October 24, 2015 I agree. Discharging this gun, while regrettable, might have saved this guy a serious beating or even death. Seems as though he did nothing to avoid a confrontation and did nothing to deescalate the situation. A firearm is a last resort, not a first response when you feel threatened
