I think Abingdon is hurting this year not having a consistent, dominant pitcher, such as Zach Witt. I know Heath Shelton has not been listed in the lineup for the last few games and he was one of their top pitchers. Don't know what happened there.

 

Also, they are making mental errors--(trying to make a run-down play between 1st and 2nd base with one on 3rd), who scored. In the 3rd inning, the Falcons had 2 outs on the Cavaliers when the flood gates opened and CC scored 5 runs.

 

It seems as if the Falcons loose their composure when playing from behind and you can't do that against a quality team.

 

Hoping their bats come alive and they play Falcon style baseball.

 

Hats off to CC, their southpaw, Hooven, definitely had control on the mound and a good night at the plate also.
