tbgfan 856 Author Report Share Posted April 18, 2011 I think Abingdon is hurting this year not having a consistent, dominant pitcher, such as Zach Witt. I know Heath Shelton has not been listed in the lineup for the last few games and he was one of their top pitchers. Don't know what happened there. Also, they are making mental errors--(trying to make a run-down play between 1st and 2nd base with one on 3rd), who scored. In the 3rd inning, the Falcons had 2 outs on the Cavaliers when the flood gates opened and CC scored 5 runs. It seems as if the Falcons loose their composure when playing from behind and you can't do that against a quality team. Hoping their bats come alive and they play Falcon style baseball. Hats off to CC, their southpaw, Hooven, definitely had control on the mound and a good night at the plate also. GMan 3,569 Report Share Posted April 19, 2011 Good to see a team other than Graham and/or Grundy get blitzed in 5 innings...
Falconman 44 Report Share Posted April 19, 2011 I've argued my last time for baseball. Wow, Carrol County? I have nothing to say. Just that we've smacked everyone in soccer and track. Baseball, well, not so much. Hey, theres always the beach guys.
Deleted Account 5,203 Report Share Posted April 19, 2011 I asked if Abingdon was that poor after they were waxed by Battle. It appears that Abingdon is truly that poor.
