Marion sucks on any field that's not theirs.

Dammit, man!!! Quit crying about their field! It is what it is...you still have to put the ball in the other teams net and keep their ball(s) out of yours...

Exactly....last I checked...Graham practices on a field about the same size as Marion's EVERY DAY!! Plus, I see that you always have one of the goals pulled forward, so you're practicing on about a 60 yard field...quit complaining...

The field width can be 58 to 75 yards wide and anywhere between 90 to 120 yards long...You got beaten by a superior team.....period!!

I can't believe your coach got on t.v. and complained about the field either.....you guys sure as heck don't practice on a larger field, get over it.

Marion's field is within those guidelines, if not, they wouldn't be allowed to play on it.

Marion sure isn't superior when they get on East River.

I watched that game and you guys were very lucky to come away with a V that day....Marion controlled possession for probably 75% of that game....but you all won, congratulations. In the other 2 contests you got outscored 12-5...I don't know....is that superior? I might be inclined to think so...

Alright you guys are right. I'm sorry for coming off a sore loser. Their field meets regulations and they beat us fair and square. When we played them at home I thought we dominated the first half. We went up 3-0 within the span of 10 minutes. Our second half was sloppy but we dominated the first and Marion couldn't come back. And I'm not sure if it's just a coincidence maybe it is but I've never lost to Marion at East River.

Graham has a very good soccer team and will compete well at the single A level. I think you guys can make a run at Radford and Galax for a regionial title and make it to states potentially. You all should be very excited about the prospect of competing in single A next year. I think Graham has potential to do very well in single A. Galax will obviously be the team to beat in the MED, with Graham right on their heels in all likelihood. Radford and Giles will be the other teams in your way next year....but I think Graham will be right in the mix of things starting next season and could spell trouble for Radford and Galax....Good luck next season, you all should be really excited at the potential to do well at the regional and state level.

Good luck against Richlands tomorrow, I think you all have the better team, hope the scoreboard shows up that way.

Thanks. Let me reiterate I shouldn't have said that. It was uncalled for. Marion is a tough team. I wish them luck in the championship. I think Giles is a pretty solid team. I played travel with a lot of those guys. We usually scrimmage them but it's been cancelled the past two years which bums me out. Galax is a pretty solid team as well. We used to play them until Grundy got their program and we dropped them. Next year in the MED will be a toss-up between Galax and Graham.

I'm hoping tomorrow we can show up against Richlands. We've shut them out both times this year just hope we can do it again. Looks like the third place team will be getting Blacksburg most likely.
