25th Anniversary...

Recommended Posts

This Holiday season marks the 25th Anniversary of the release of a special song that was written by your's truly and a fast-talking, skinny kid from New Jersey, Roy Jacobsen.

It was written on a late fall night in Pritchard dorm at Virginia Tech after a year and a half of drunken debauchery as a tribute to the ladies that made some of those nights "not so lonely".

Recorded live in 6107 Pritchard Hall by the group so aptly named, Platinum Bugeye and the Fatbits, it received a tremendous amount of airtime during that Holiday season on the VT student radio station, WUVT AM640, which could only be heard on campus, thanks to one of the DJs, and Fatbit member, the Red Rocker, Mike Petrusky.

Unfortunately, the original recording was destroyed several years ago in a freak cassette player accident. However, thanks to my tremendous lock-box of worthless knowledge, I am able to reprint, for you, the original lyrics of the song...

I present to you, the lyrics of that timeless-classic, Holiday hit from Platinum Bugeye and the Fatbits...

"Deck THE Hall (6th Floor Pritchard)"

(Intro)

Drunk College guy: "Excuse me beautiful, would you like a beer?"

Fat Chick: BURRRRRRRRRRRRRPPPP!!!!!!! "No thanks, but do you have a toothpick?"

(Sung to Deck The Halls)

Deck the Hall with empty beer cans,

Fa la la la la, la la la la.

T'is the season to cruise fat chicks,

Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Don we know our thick beer goggles,

Fa la la la la, la la la la.

To the parties we will stumble,

Fa la la la la, la la la la.

See the fat chicks in the corner,

Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Getting thinner with each swallow,

Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Grab a six and walk on over,

Fa la la la la, la la la la.

And talk to them as if we're sober,

Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Take them back to sixth floor Pritchard,

Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Reputations will get butchered,

Fa la la la la, la la la la.

And in the morning, when we wake,

Fa la la la la, la la la la.

We'll realize our big mistake,

Fa la la la la, la la la la.
