Lets Reframe the argument

In much the same way liberals do. I will start with a few and everyone else can feel free to add to the list.

 

1. I will now refer to anyone who wishes to ban guns as feminist.

 

Rationale: I will tell all women that I know that the gun ban crowd thinks that they are incapable of operating a gun effectively because they are, after all, women!

 

This will hopefully encourage them to begin arguing that "a woman can do anything that a man can do, " and in theory turn against the very people who are wishing to ban guns.

I support gun rights -the left says I hate kids

I oppose abortion -they say I'm waging war on women

I say we are broke and need to reduce spending : I'm rich and I want to take social security

I oppose universal health care : I'm accused of wanting to push grandma over a cliff

I support prayer in public facilities :I want to establish a theocracy

I oppose affirmitive action :I'm a racist

I believe marriage is between a man and a woman :I'm called a homophobe

 

I'm sick of the word play, the deliberate reframing of arguments by the left. I understand debating tactics and Ive read Saul Alinsky. I know why they do it and I'm sick of it. Why not have some fun with their twisted perverted methods of taking dissenters and demonizing them. Just showing that conservatives can play the same game.

But then again, it also works like this:

Someone supports gun control -the right says they hate the Constitution

Someone supports a woman's right to choose -the right says they're baby killing monsters.

Someone says we need to keep spending : the right says they want this to be a socialist country

Someone supports universal health care : The right accuses them of wanting to again make us all socialist

Someone opposes prayer in public facilities :the right says they are without morals and bad people

Someone supports affirmitive [sic] action : They're called racist.

Someone believes marriage can extend beyond only being between a man and a woman : They're called perverts.

 

I've heard it go both ways, Bucfan. That's why sensible people don't consider the black/white, all-or-nothing bloviating that the extremes of each wing spew.

Nope, I find it dumb when anyone does it. But you are probably the worst offender I have seen, and not just in this thread.
