blueinbama 259 Report Share Posted April 18, 2013 The Saudi National, Abdul al-Harbi, who has been questioned after the Boston Marathon bombing, is being immediately deported on "national security grounds." Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs reports: He is from a very powerful Saudi family with many terrorist ties. Abdul al-Harbi is a devout Muslim from Medina. I said it takes longer than 15 hours to investigate all of Abdul al-Harbi's relatives, friends, acquaintances, and business and school friends. Perhaps a quick look at the Arabic sources should raise the eyebrows of every American relative to the extent of the problem at hand. Many from Al-Harbi’s clan are steeped in terrorism and are members of Al-Qaeda. Out of a list of 85 terrorists listed by the Saudi government shows several of Al-Harbi clan to have been active fighters in Al-Qaeda: When I heard he was from a very powerful Saudi family, I worried about this kind of thing happening. Why suddenly is al-Harbi being sent out of the country as the terror investigation is yet, ongoing? On Wednesday evening, Reuters reported that President Obama held an unscheduled meeting this afternoon with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal at the White House. The meeting, was closed to the press, as was Secretary of State John Kerry's Tuesday meeting with al-Faisal. White House spokeswoman, Caitlin Hayden, described the curiously timed meeting in a statement, saying: "The president and Prince Saud al-Faisal reaffirmed the strong partnership between the United States and Saudi Arabia and discussed developments in the region, including the conflict in Syria." Curiously enough, the Boston Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation scheduled a press conference for Wednesday afternoon to give an update on the investigation, and perhaps, to announce an arrest. That briefing never happened. http://www.examiner.com/article/boston-bombing-suspect-ordered-deported-after-obama-meets-with-saudi-minister?cid=db_articles

I remember not long after the bombing that the news reported that a Saudi national was arrested as a suspect....then nothing on it for a long time as they reported other suspects seen in videos/pictures. ThomasDenton 79 Report Share Posted April 19, 2013 Just saw on the news where the Saudi national who was a "person of interest" turned witness was actually to be deported on Tuesday (don't know if it was last Tuesday or this coming Tuesday) for having connections to terrorist organizations and posing a national threat, but after all this came out, the government suddenly changed their mind. Probably caught a lot of flack for wanting to deport a person connected with terrorists.

blueinbama 259 Author Report Share Posted April 19, 2013 (edited) Suspects are supposedly brothers, too. I've been watching all morning. There is a ton of speculation, but something that is known is the fact that these guys have been here long enough to get an education (or at least part of it) on our dime. One was awarded a $2500 scholarship, and both had participated in athletics. Both reportedly have student loans. Supposedly one was a wrestler, the other a boxer. There is also a third suspect (allegedly), and some reports have indicated this may be a cell of as many as several hundreds of people. These two guys were strongly entrenched. I believe both went to Cambridge, and it is being reported they have made many close friends in the community, and have been living for years as students and were well liked. You just never know.
