trublue 939 Author Report Share Posted August 31, 2013 The most talked about high school football game this week is without question Colquitt County at Hoover (Ala.). The Friday night game will be televised on delay at 11:00 p.m. on ESPNU, three hours past its 8:00 p.m. ET kickoff. Colquitt County head coach Rush Propst left Hoover in 2008 to take his current position with the Packers. He won five state championships with the Buccaneers (2000, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005). Propst’s successor, Josh Niblett has led the Hoover to state titles in 2009 and 2012 and according to many state rankings this game is a matchup of Georgia’s No. 1 6A team vs. Alabama’s No. 1 6A tean. (Just in case you still need some more high school football tonight...thought I would post this.)

cwood78 161 Report Share Posted August 31, 2013 clintwood made way to many mistakes against union, they will only get better, had them down 14-0 only to let mistakes let them back in it...
ThomasDenton 79 Report Share Posted August 31, 2013 Battle stopped after 3 quarters from the sound of it. Better get it together quick. Playing a lot of inexperienced kids and this will be a great teaching tool for Coach Wright. Just have to finish it off though Looked like we had a serious problem with cramps tonight. Lot of kids cramping up, but Abingdon did step it up in 2nd half. They've got some fighters on that team (Norris and Perrigan were really aggressive tonight). But the Falcons made lots of mistakes and we capitalized big time on that. Way to go Trojans!

redtiger 1,742 Report Share Posted August 31, 2013 When I left(8 minutes to go in the 4th,2nd team Offense was in for the Tigers) Haysi 32 - Castewood 0 Haysi had a 70ish yard punt return called back for a block in the back(no where near the ball) and a 91 yard TD pass called back on ineligible downfield. I cant really speak on either call(I didn't see either) but the Game wasn't as close as the score.

redtiger 1,742 Report Share Posted September 1, 2013 Hurley beat East Ridge, so the BDD is undefeated in out of district play. It wont last but its impressive for the time being. Lance, whats up with the Golden Wave? Seems that the Mavisdale Paulcats (heres lookin at you Leonard, wherever you are) are the same as ever. Is the Golden Wave all washed up? WHat happened to the once proud Golden Wave tradition? WIll they get steamrolled by Hurley? These questions need answers!
