Generalsfan5487 9 Report Share Posted August 11, 2014 Anybody been to watch them yet or count the numbers? Haven't had a chance to check up on them since being out of town for work. Hoping we start to pick back up

Generalsfan5487 9 Author Report Share Posted August 13, 2014 I'd like to find out more about the offensive plan. Do you mean snapping it fast as in Oregon's no huddle spread? If so I wonder how that's gonna work out for us. Hopefully we can build off last year!
blackshirt 19 Report Share Posted August 13, 2014 Yes, snapping fast and they look pretty good.
Generalsfan5487 9 Author Report Share Posted August 15, 2014 Anyone know how Lee looked in their scrimmage today?
bugsbunny 12 Report Share Posted August 20, 2014 I saw about 15 or 20 of their players at the Burton/Battle scrimmage the other night. They were some good sized boys. Don't know if they are any good or not, but I was impressed with the size of some of these guys.

Generalsfan5487 9 Author Report Share Posted August 23, 2014 Dang, didn't think it would be that far apart. I can't recall the score of last year's benefit game. But I wish I could've seen tonight's. Hard to watch them from Kansas tho
Beamerball 566 Report Share Posted August 23, 2014 Last year's score was 26-23 Marion winning. Lee was up 20-13 at half that year and from what I heard they were something like 20-6 at halftime in this year's game.
Generalsfan5487 9 Author Report Share Posted August 23, 2014 So it sounds like we are much improved. Think we can keep it up the rest of the season?
Beamerball 566 Report Share Posted August 23, 2014 I don't know much about Lee this year (other than they have a good number of seniors, return qb, leading receiver, etc.), but I'd say they probably should be favored in most, if not all of their games, the first half of the season. I'd assume they're favored over Burton. They lost some good backs from last year, lacking some speed that they are usually known for. They do have their qb back though, should be better with another year under his belt. Should be get the "w" over TW of course; I'm guessing Eastside is down...lost the Riner kid at qb and not sure what they have back. Don't know much about North, that was a pretty close game last year with Lee falling by a TD. Grayson County seems down, they lost that good qb from last year, and Gate City hammered them pretty good in their scrimmage tonight. Union's seemed pretty stout so far in the preseason, they had a lot of seniors last year, we'll see how they do once the season gets going. GC strong as usual too. Battle seems down and not much known out of Central, new coach up there this year.

Beamerball 566 Report Share Posted August 23, 2014 Score correction: Lee High 34 Marion 14 How is Marion expected to be this year Canes?
Canes00 434 Report Share Posted August 23, 2014 depends on the offensive line which didn't look to good last night. I think they will be a pretty good team the Wagner kid at RB is one of the best backs in the area but I was impressed with Lee last night they play hard and number 12 will catch anything he gets his hands on
