Single A west 113 Report Share Posted October 15, 2014 If James was at fort it would be different, fort has as much talent as anyone in the west. With Hale there if they played Rural Retreat again in the playoffs they would loose. FCP~15~11
FCP~15~11 1 Report Share Posted October 23, 2014 I think you should come see a FC game one time before calling skeens that great ;-) but of course I am a little bias
FCP~15~11 1 Report Share Posted October 23, 2014 I would hope that isn't true but the overall point is correct...
sixcat 2,919 Report Share Posted October 23, 2014 Dallas Ward is the best player in the MED and possibly all of 1A-West! It's a cryin-ass-shame he plays for Tom Hale! Just my opinion, which is worth little. sportsfan
RCITYHOO 110 Author Report Share Posted October 24, 2014 Ward is a very, very good running back. But what i've seen from both Ward and Skeens is that Ward has a better team and Skeens has game changing abilty by breaking the long run at anytime. Ward being the best player in the west, don't think so. I'll go with Dixon. JMO
sixcat 2,919 Report Share Posted October 24, 2014 Dixon is a very good player but Ward is much more physical, stronger, bigger, just as fast and more durable. Dixon hasn't finished a season since pee-wee football. Time will tell.
Single A west 113 Report Share Posted October 26, 2014 Dixon has fumbled way to much. Something ward has not done with everyone on def knowing he is getting and where he is going

hhstigers7327 217 Report Share Posted October 26, 2014 If Galax is that predictable then they will not make it very far
redtiger 1,740 Report Share Posted October 27, 2014 Being predictable is what hurt them last season against Haysi. Their OL was VERY good, Peoples was GREAT but they had nothing else on offense.
gwmaroon 23 Report Share Posted October 27, 2014 Does anyone know what the playoff picture is looking to be?
hhstigers7327 217 Report Share Posted October 27, 2014 1 Honaker 2 Haysi 3 Northwood 4 Fort Chiswell 5 George Wythe (Wytheville) 6 Galax 7 Radford 8 Hurley 9 Covington 10 Clintwood 11 Twin Valley 12 Patrick Henry (Glade Spring) 13 Rural Retreat 14 Auburn 15 J.I. Burton 16 Eastern Montgomery
redtiger 1,740 Report Share Posted October 27, 2014 1 and 2 may switch(I think they will). I think the others will stay more or less the same in the top half of the bracket. The bottom half should stay the same more or less. If Clintwood can beat Central they might move up a place.
hhstigers7327 217 Report Share Posted October 27, 2014 If it was played today I think Auburn would give Northwood a game
redtiger 1,740 Report Share Posted October 27, 2014 If the matchups fall right and those two meet I could see it being a great game.

Jethro 113 Report Share Posted October 27, 2014 I see Honaker beating Haysi and Central over Clintwood.
redtiger 1,740 Report Share Posted October 27, 2014 Have you seen Haysi play Jethro or are you just big on Honaker? Central is probably better than Clintwood but Cw throws the ball pretty well and that could be a problem for Central.
Jethro 113 Report Share Posted October 27, 2014 No but I think Honaker plays the tougher schedule and has more depth. Honaker will be more Battle ready than Haysi. Could go either way but I'm picking Honaker.
Ryan4VT 4,554 Report Share Posted October 27, 2014 Looking at the numbers, if Haysi beats Honaker (I'm picking Honaker), then I don't see them out pointing them at all.
redtiger 1,740 Report Share Posted October 27, 2014 Solid reasoning Jethro. Ryan I crunched #s today and if my math is correct(its probably not) and assuming no upsets Haysi will come up just a little short of Honaker even if Red beats Orange

Ryan I crunched #s today and if my math is correct(its probably not) and assuming no upsets Haysi will come up just a little short of Honaker even if Red beats Orange That's what I'm seeing too. That's just a large gap to try and close, and even a win wouldn't do it. Need some odd upsets to happen.
hhstigers7327 217 Report Share Posted October 27, 2014 That's why I ask last week when they had almost a 5 point lead I thought that was a lot to make up
OLINE77 50 Report Share Posted October 28, 2014 The way it looks now the 2 or 3 seed would be the better seed to have IMO.
