BigWinners 1,643 Report Share Posted February 27, 2015 Union travels to Bristol and upsets VHS, 61-54, to advance to the finals of the tournament to take on Gate City. I am hearing James Mitchell played the best game he has ever played, and was the X-factor tonight. HUGE win for the Bears, congrats! One more step, beating GC and advanced thru the tournament. I just know that Union lost both games last night, lost to GC at VHS in a great game, two great teams playing at a high level, and the Union girls lost at Gate City. The Union/GC game was one of the better games I have seen all year. Both teams had a chance to win, Gate City came up big when it mattered. The refereeing was horrible for both sides, it did not favor one team, it was just bad, but both teams battled thru and put on a helluva show.
