Probably the two best teams in Region C, and what could be a preview of the Region Championship.  Round two for the Bobcats and Boys from Buchanan. This time, James River comes back to Radford.  Game is on NFHS, Wednesday night at 7 pm.

A Radford win puts them in the driver seat for Three Rivers.  Radford didn't play well against Glenvar on Monday.  James River has to be hyped for this game.  Of course everybody brings their "A" game for Radford.  I expect a good one.

Final James River 69, Radford.34

A 35 point win for James River who reminds me much of Union last year.  The have 4 guys that can flat out shoot the basketball.  That's not an overstatement.  Literally, when 4 of the 5 starters shoot the ball from outside the arch, you feel pretty good about it.   A great defensive effort by James River.  They really clamped down on Radford and contested a lot of shots.  At the same time, Radford was ice cold.  When Radford got shots off that were not contested, they just missed the shot.   James River also a lot like Union last year with size.  No major height, but "long" as in, good wing span-arm length of their starters, they have enough height at the Class 2 level for sure. 6'5, 6'3, 5'11, 6'2, 6'0,ish, approximate just looking at them, etc.    Man, can they shoot the ball.  Absolute deadly from outside.

For Radford, dont quote me on this as Radford fans would know for sure, but I believe this is the worst loss by margin for Radford since 2010-11 Christisnsburg and this loss is the 2nd worst loss since the turn of the century, and you have to go back to before the century turned to see a Radford loss this bad on its home court.  I read this from a Radford fan

Hers the kicker also......Radford is a very good class 2 team this year.

JR also beat 4A GW-Danville twice this year. When you go into Danville and win by 20 you're usually a pretty good team.

Seems like they're the clear favorite in 2C, if they have an off night could Radford snipe them again or maybe Glenvar? Or will it take a major off night to upset JR?
