Sources 10 Report Share Posted September 18, 2004 I heard from a source tonight that George Simons is going to be one of the referees for the Martinsburg game on October 2 and I hope for the sake of all things holy that this is untrue. If this is true, a poorer choice couldn't have been made for such an important and potentially reputation staking game for Bluefield. He screwed Richlands over in a game two years ago, one which I believe Bluefield still would have won even if there had been clean officiating on both sides. I am very concerned over this. GMan 3,569 Report Share Posted September 18, 2004 Actually, everyone will be screwed...both teams will get bad calls and the fans will have to sit and endure flag after flag after flag...with both teams throwing the ball like they do and all the flags that will be flying, this game won't end until Saturday AM....
