RebelBlood 10 Report Share Posted November 6, 2004 THis game didnt mean much to alot of you all, cuz Hurley and Twin Valley noone would think much of it, but to the 2 teams that played it, it was like Abe Lincoln and John F Kennedy playing chess, so much in common, it dosent mean much to everyone else but to them it has alot of meaning and significance. So The game starts off Slow, No team movin the ball around real good, Each team has a Good RB in Shane justus and Brandon Helton. Twin Valleys got the upper hand in the Passing game which proved to be the deciding factor of the game, First score, Jermiah Lester to Derek Keene, and some poor tacklin by hurley defenders. Shane justus had 2 Tds on the night, on a run that looked like he was stalled but with a quick spin move, he took it all the way to the 3 yrd line, then he punched it in. with a lil luck both teams will be in the playoffs, Good luck to both teams. good job rebels, Keep Fighting

djr4hurleyfb 12 Report Share Posted November 8, 2004 If the math is correct on Elliot's web site, Twin Valley appears to be hosting Twin Springs (although he shows TS hosting TV, but he doesn't show the point averages, just the totals). bigcats 10 Report Share Posted November 9, 2004 KY start early and the was played on the 8-20 2004 and that is before the VA season start is what we was told is this true
ThatDude 10 Report Share Posted November 9, 2004 No habla espanol? But after trying to translate that post into English, Hurley's game with Betsy Layne DOES count toward their ranking. The start of the KY season has nothing to do with the game. And the game was not even played at Betsy Layne, it was at Hurley. At no point in the season or during the year was the game being discussed, or has been discussed as not being counted like the Beckley Christian game didn't count towards Twin Valley's rating. So basically, whomever is telling you that is blowing sunshine up the old tail pipe.
GMan 3,569 Report Share Posted November 9, 2004 The VHSL has released the latest ratings and the four teams that will represent Region D, D-1 are J.I. Burton, Twin Springs, Twin Valley, and Hurley. Pound finished a "close" 5th behind Hurley.
