I thought the consensus was Martin was a junior? But in the BHC piece, Carlock mentions how Martin should be playing college ball next year. I assume Carlock knows his own players better than us, was it just misreported as him being a junior?

From what I've heard/read, Eastside should be a (slight) favorite and Lawson will be best player on floor.

Lee is long and athletic, but not as good defensively so maybe GC can get out and run more and have more open looks for Ervin and Dean. Vaughn likely won't draw McClung to ensure he doesn't pick up any cheap fouls, but McClung will have to be efficient with his shot and get to the rim thru contact. GC lost twice all season, once to a great Mecklenburg team and a great Graham team. They won't be intimidated by Lee's size, they know who they're playing and I'm not quite sure Vaughn is quite the scorer Darius George was last season.

They (Ervin and Dean) may not have had monster point totals but both played really well and GC would be going home losers if Dean wasn't such a force on the perimeter defense ad Ervin wasn't excellent at breaking pressure and setting up easy buckets for MM.

It's not like Martin wasn't the clear workhorse and scorer for Graham as well, he's a great player and great players take more shots.

Ervin and Dean looked pretty ecstatic tonight after the game...

GC prob shoots better, they struggle with shots at UVAW, and likely pushes the issue more often. More driving to the bucket and trying to get easy looks or free throws. Can't imagine Graham changes too much, I figure they'll try and get the big, Dalton, involved early and often and really allow Martin to create open looks for teammates or get buckets.

That's that whole Bleacher Report HS blog they do, I didn't really even consider that like USA Today proper. They obviously got a big fact wrong but I'm not recalling any major incidents from USA Today that blew up in their face. I mean I don't consider them the NY Times or Time magazine but I always viewed them as being pretty reliable.

USA Today doesn't have credibility? Since when? It's not the NYT, but it's more credible than most random blogs and local papers.

Dunno, it was free last week. And if that's the kind of quality someone could expect, I'm sure as hell not paying for it.

It was absolutely horrendous. Constant outages and keep going back. I'll be damned if I pay for that. Maybe someone will Facebook live the game.
