Not trying to interrupt on the conversation you all have going, just wanted to throw in that I noticed in the jamboree Union also has #5 Stidham they can use at running back. Not as big as Summers but can run almost just as hard.

Friday night we will see something at the park we haven't seen since the 90's IMO. I think both teams are great, and if its possible this could very well be the state championship game. I went and saw both teams week one. Again, maybe i'm bias and going with heart over head here, but I think Union has just one step up on richlands due to total number of athletes. I'll go Union 30-22

I went to both games. Both teams are extremely talented and have some great players and coaches. I may be bias but I tnink Union has a slight edge on Richlands and they have home field. Union 27 Richlands 23.

Pretty much right at the flagpole/right in front of the school. If you aren't familiar with the campus you'll get what I mean when you get there.

Burton has a front line that is incredible for a 1A. Mix that with perrigan, branham etc and they have some firepower. The defense didn't seem AS impressive, but not bad at all.

The other running back burton Has is Matthew Branham #32. Great player, but perrigan is on a different level.

Again played the freshman QB instead of Spears. Noaks didn't play on offense. However, we still looked very good. Moved the ball at will, defense played solid, just a few things to tighten up before we play the speedy Burton Raiders.

The thing about this Union team is that when teams do take away the pass (which maybe only richlands can do) we can run well. The key to this years team is the defense. This is the best D we have had, holding Tn High to 7 Varisty points is no small feat!

Just a brief update here. In full varsity on Varisty Union came out on top 21-7 if I'm not mistaken. Union was without their starting quarterback and a star WR due to some crazy suspensions. However, we used a freshman QB and we made some big plays. TN high was much bigger than we were, but we held them under raps for the most part. Very very good showing for the Bears.

Rumor has it we have a foreign exchange student who can kick 50 yarders with ease.

Had media day this morning. 61 players and news of a new scoreboard with video. Getting fancy, lol.
