Complete domination!!! Unions defense is legit best in the STATE IMO. They just showed it Graham is a high octane offense. Da U shut them down physically wasn't even fair. Graham is a good team union shut them down. Hope we can keep it up!!
There is always scouts at union games. On the side lines you'll see alot of VT some UGA. Before he brought list to just 5 they were all kinds of D1 scouts from diff teams. Now since he has is list at just 3 mostly Tech duke UGA. Good opportunity for other kids to get seen when playing Union.
I’d love to, but I always go to UVA/VT. The timing of that game always messes with me attending 3rd Round playoff games, and with it being a primetime game, my wife and I are making a 2-day trip of it.
If I’m “lucky” I may catch it on the ear-splitting 106.3.

Well, I must have watched the wrong Clarke County what was so great about them. That Richlands team that year had Appo. Beat with 5 min. left in 4th quarter and just gave it away. Appo. Humiliated Clark County.

Man I love the landsharks!! Some of the fans made a huge banner when the D makes a good play they stretch it across the stands. The whole team does the landshark gesture with there hands on there helmet. I love it gives them something to look forward to if they make a big play. The guy who made the sign, that is awesome man!!
I heard he has been practicing for full go and a start at LB Friday night. Which will help tremendously on stopping the run. Will move Johnson to outside LB. I know he can't be in game ready condition but he shut down Belfry in preseason.
Who knows though.
I hope he gets to play this being his senior year. Its going to be hard for him coming in to this game with not playing all year long. especially in a game like this where Union is going to run at them all night. Hopefully they give him some plays off I was hearing at the season start he was a gym rat so he more then likely will be ready
Let’s go back to Week 1. Say Graham doesn’t fumble, and beats Bluefield 21-17. Who’s the favorite now? I think people are putting way too much stock into the “1” in Graham’s 9-1 mark. But for a Week 1 goal line fumble, Graham would have the best win over any other school in SWVA, hands down, argument over.
These teams are almost dead even...the best D in the region (not state) against the best O in the region (not state), and I’d be floored if the score was more than 1 score either way.
Didn't Bluefield also give up a Fumble for a TD so.. Ive watched the Bluefield Richlands an Marion game of Graham Honestly didn't blow me away still a very, very good team. If you get Physical with them then seems like they have a hard time. IMO
I know they have the senior QB back who is going to Liberty (FCS) and a proven winner of titles as a sophomore and junior starter at QB, and another kid I think named Graves on defense who is going to NC State. They can be beat, but it will take a monumental task and near perfect game for a team like Union or Graham to beat em, and it will take a poor game from Appomattox with lots of turnovers. I just don't see it happening with those 2 senior college bound guys leading the show at Appomattox. They likely aren't going to lay a goose egg in a state-semi final or state final game, and that spells trouble for Union or Graham or Giles in their own region.
I respect your opinion hard to argue that. With that being said union also has a big time D1 player an another in Jeb if his grades where better probably not high as James but D1 none the less an union is so good up front big an fast . I just think Union can play with them an beat them. They play the games for a reason I hope we find out. Like i was saying tho it's hard to argue the point you made Appo is strong brother.
I hope everyone picks against the Bears. Keep them motivated. Richlands is a team everyone was worried about playing. Union is the team no one wants to play. Bring on the doubt my friends.
Yes!! Me too Union is drooling at the mouth waiting on Friday to get here. They are finally going into the playoffs healthy for once. I think there offense has been very good with James playing QB. What I saw the last couple of weeks with qualls throwing the ball around they are firing on all cylinders offensively and defensively.
What does that have to do with this season? Both Graham and Union are capable of winning state titles this year.
I agree 100% Union an Graham can win a state title. Appo is still a very good team an has a awsome program but I think Union are Graham beats them in week 4 hopefully Union ? IMO.
Imo this game will not close as the last. I think union offense is more lethal with James touching the ball every play. Unions D is harassing people, if richlands is having a hard time scoring they will def struggle against Union. What you gotta watch out for is this is a rivalry an the blues will be ready to play anything can happen so we will see.
Richlands@Union...I love it should be a good game the blues are hot!! Last matchup Richlands couldn't move the ball an could not stop unions running game. This game will be fun to watch what day do you guys think the game will be played on??
