I don't think its gonna be a long season, but its gonna be a long night Friday. The secondary is very weak and a sophomore QB first start at Richlands could get ugly fast.

Lately, the Roanoke area versus far Southwest VA would probably be more in favor of the Roanoke area. I don't know if it would have been on a regular basis but it wouldn't be farfetched to say that some of those teams mentioned from the past (that are in or were part of those districts you mentioned) could have probably taken some of those teams. Some that come to mind are 1998 Powell Valley, the Graham teams that won state, the 1970 and 1974 Gate City teams, and Richlands in 1992.  Heck that 1992 Richlands team actually beat Salem for the state semis.

And if they had state champs in the 60's you could probably add aboiaboiut 3 or 4 more to Appalachia's total

I may have missed it but when they go back to regional play in playoffs will there be 4 or 8 teams from each region because this region has alot of quality teams and if 4 teams go someone with a good team will be sitting home.

So apparently we need to watch every Bluefield game on their schedule.

I bought a few of the GC games but have since misplaced them.

Yeah I've tried to get the 1993 appy gate city game but can't find anyone who has it.

At one time I know they sold games but I don't know how it worked but they had thousands of games. They had Appalachia games going back to the late 80s.

I believe that Appo. is the team to beat again this year also,  but I don't know that I would say by far.  I think there will be a couple of teams that has the potential to challenge them.......including Richlands,  but of course I am a little..........just a little.. bias.

 

Your right Richland's is the only team that could beat them I think. Union is a year away Giles lost too much gate city isn't there yet so who is left. I don't think people are giving Graham enough credit though they're gonna surprise some people I think.

Jamboree at Norton should be following Friday. Last years teams were Union Norton Tazewell and Castlewood so it will probably be same teams.

Anyone know Union preseason schedule. They usually go to Tenn. High and then Norton jamboree but can't get any info around here.

There use to be another sight called mygamefilms.com were u could watch and buy games on and they had a lot of films from every team in Virginia and maybe nationwide. Does anyone know if they maybe changed website name or just don't sell games anymore.

He's not going any were guys, this rumor was going around when he was in 8th grade. He has teams like clemson looking at him for football so he's not going any were for basketball. I don't see him as a D1 basketball player anyway.
