Not at all trying to down the G-Men coaching staff but what I’ve seen so far today is what I seen against King William 2 years ago. Not utilizing their best player how they should. Clement’s has shown that he can put the team on his back so let him have at it again.

Their best player CCC is a senior but idk about the rest. I don’t think it matters though when you can dress 60+ players every year you find 11 guys with good talent

I think Graham would have a better chance with their run defense but Riverheads is a team on a mission right now and they’re not slowing down for anyone

Radford has good speed on the edges and contain well, but their weakness seems to be stopping the run between the tackles. Not saying they’ll give up 10 yards a pop but if I had to find a weak spot it would be there just from some of the games I’ve watched.

Same with Radford against Appo. Had it stayed raining hard like it did early in the 3rd Appo may have pulled it off. As soon as the rain slacked up Radford started pulling away

Whenever he sees me and dad he always says “I hated playing against that train horn, but it wouldn’t be a Giles game without it.” I wish he could’ve had more success there. That 09 team led by Luke Harris at QB that went to state was the real deal, but no one was touching Gretna at that time.

I’ll certainly miss hearing that deep loud voice echo out across the field in football and track.

We had to go there in October for a little league game. They had some concrete barriers up in certain spots but it really didn’t cause any parking issues. Things could have changed though since then.

Radford will bring a pretty good crowd but you’re right, the atmosphere will be nothing like it was at BSG. I was happy to see how well Graham traveled. Hopefully they bring even more to Cburg.

If that’s the case then much respect to them. Very rarely does a team petition to play up.

Both teams have been battle tested. Honaker doesn’t play many 2A schools but have played some quality 1A competition. Galax has a brutal schedule to start the season against top tier 2A opponents. Im just not sure how great the Maroon Tide secondary is because they haven’t faced a team that likes to air it out like Honaker. But they are very well coached and I know he will have them as prepared as he can. Im rooting for Galax but taking the Tigers 31-20.

The thoughts of Riverheads and Graham potentially moving down to 1A makes me want to start drinking.
