Of course richlands doesnt have the athletes on defense they had last yr but union put up 35 on them in regulation last season. They will get better just as they did last yr. So if it wasnt richlands defense that held them to 14 points then please tell me who did and how you think union shot themselves in the foot. Not being an ass just trying to understand your take on it. Cuz the way i seen it richlands was doing all the foot shooting. Seems like when they did make a couple good stops they would have a personal foul. Same on offense. Make a play, personal foul. Richlands had more penalty yardage. Yes union did fumble in the redzone but when the runner is constantly fighting for extra yardage youre eventually gonna get stripped. Just a good play. Seemed union had good field position all night compared to richlands (started inside their 10 at least two times). Like one poster said they bent but didnt break. At this point their running game is more concerning than the defense.

Would have liked to see some play-action with some crossing routes to freeze those linebackers. If they bit on it the middle of the field wouldve been wide open.

Wouldnt have mattered. Runner was getting hit before he could make it to the line of scrimmage.

Richland's running game is really concerning. JLA doesnt look the same so far this year. Need to take some pressure off him.

Not sure if i like that move. I understand its to keep him fresh on offense but i think hes too valuable on defense. Made some key plays in the union game last year.

Graham's linebackers were impressive especially #29. Did he play that position last year? I know #3 is a transfer but dont remember #29.

Graham's back 7 get after the ball and hit hard. Looked much improved on defense.

Looked like Cooke had to wait on all of them but one but he was being pressured. If the qb has the arm strength and the protection this yr they could be a very dangerous combo. Week 1 cant get here soon enough.

Belfry had some guys out from what i read and a couple of their 1s didnt play very much. #23 Horton didnt play a lot and he is a monster. That d-line is tough. From what i seen they were pretty even against Pulaski. Maybe 2-2 or so. All about matchups.

Yeh im pretty sure he is. Looked really good. #42 or 41 looked good as well, he can sure lay a stiff arm.

I thought he looked pretty good. Ran the ball pretty well with the 2s and made a couple good plays at receiver with the 1s. Did drop 1 open pass and bit on a play action and left his man open for the TD but it was the first scrimmage.

Defense looked really good on the last scrimmage against Belfry. Im more concerned with the running game. Couldnt get any yards rushing. They gotta figure that out.

Defense usually prevails. Hope its not the case Saturday with Union and Richlands.

Going by the points they've allowed this season they don't look like they're susceptible to anything. Gonna be a tough one. Richlqnds better bring it all 4 quarters and take care of the ball. In the four big games they've had this year they've turned it over. 3 being for tds.

My opinion is flip a coin.
