Not sure what to think about this one as I don't follow Ridgeview weekly anymore like I used to when I covered them. I am glad Dobyns-Bennett chose this week to be their bye, as I will make the trek to the Ridge for the first time in many years Friday night. Definitely looking forward to it for sure. I think it's a fantastic game.

Was wondering how you were doing man and if you got any major damage down your way.

I'll be in Dandridge, TN tonight for D-B and Jefferson County. Latest AccuWeather projection says we might get the entire game in as scheduled before the rain hits. Scheduled to start raining there between 9 and 10 pm. Will be driving back in it though which is never fun.

Science Hill vs. Morristown East has also been bumped up to Thursday. I may come check out that Unicoi and Chuckey-Doak game if it's Thursday! That should be a heck of a game! I hope we (Dobyns-Bennett) stay on Friday. I already took Friday off since Jeff County is a little bit of a drive from Abingdon and I would have to rush to drive home from Abingdon at 5:00 after work, then to Dandridge.

Never too early to discuss the Arby's. I am interested to see what my Indians can do in this though coming off the title last year. We've lost a few but also picked up a nice transfer in the offseason as well.

Heard one of the guys on 93.5 WAXM tonight who saw Burton against both Ridgeview and Union say that he thought Union was the better team. Guess we'll find out in about three weeks.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I miss the East and West format from several years ago. When Ridgeview played Giles in the first round and Wise Central had to go to Dan River... I think Union played Stuart's Draft in the first round one year if I recall correctly. The way the playoffs are now, a lot of the matchups are regular season rematches until you get to the semis.

Three things are for certain: Pack football team win by a lot. Pack football fans will be deaf for the next week after this game from the horrible PA system blaring music at a million decibels. Grundy PA announcer will complain and try to influence the refs about some holding call that wasn't called. With that said, Ridgeview wins something like 56-7.
