I'm hearing a kid down hwy 58 might come up and play qb. If not Bostic would be just fine just as the sophomore Hall guess we will wait and see when 7 on 7s happen. Also just hear say at work is Sykes might come home for his Senior year. Since he can start at qb at DB why not Union.
I find all the noise makes these big games even better. The horns really played a part in the 1st half when it seemed like Graham had 20 penalties in a row called on them. The louder the better.
I know it sounds crazy man but it’s not unrealistic. If you’ve actually watched any of the games I mentioned you’d know. Ridgeview is a completely different team than when they played and I think the Generals would put 40 on them now. Never did i say Lee would beat Graham but I don’t think they’re gonna lay down and get rolled.
I think Lee will put up a fight against the G-Men. Their record doesn’t really reflect their ability. If a couple plays had went the other way against Rye Cove, Battle, GC, and Abingdon (all one score games) then they’re 8-2. Had Lee played the current version of Ridgeview instead of the week 5 version then they could possibly even be sitting at 9-1. Lots of ifs and buts I know but the Generals are missing a couple key players that would’ve made a big impact in those games they’ve lost.

Abingdon had 1 big run for 1 score. 1 drive that was helped by dumb and I mean dumb penalties. And finally a kickoff return for 6 other then that bears defense really played lights out.
That pass Huff caught deep middle was such a magnificent throw and catch. Awesome, awesome stuff. If Union can complete that pass, that’s a tough offense to stop.
Yes finally, if union can do that constant. You can't put 9 to 10 in the box to stop Keith and Union becomes very very dangerous.
I wouldn’t argue anyone putting Turner ahead of Robbins FWIW, I just think you can’t put Turner alone on a pedestal bc Phil, with a few more kids and better facilities, won more titles, more games and owned the head to head record. If Turner is 1, Phil is top three IMO. Same as reversed, if Phil is 1, Tom is top three.

The defense is the strength of this team for sure and might be as good as the 17 team. Still unsure about offense especially if Chandler isn’t at full health, they just look out of sync without him.
I know it was only twin springs and no disrespect here. But union looked pretty good with out him last week. If my memory serves me correct Chandler only played 1 play on offense last week.
Fun fact for U. Thru 6 games Unions defense has pitched 3 shutouts and has only allowed 48 total points, that's average of 8 points a game. Now 27 of them were to Science Hill, Graham 14 and Twin Springs scored 7 on the 2nd and 3rd string. Take away from this what you want but that's pretty dang impressive. Ridgeview will have a hard time scoring on the bears imo. If they score more then 21 the pack will win if not going to be a long ride back.....
I'm just hoping to see another brawl between these 2 fan bases........Just joking hope we see a well played game between these 2 imo the loser plays Graham in the 2nd round in bluefield.
This has been my thought the entire time. We were called the "SWVA All-Stars" by multiple people on here, but now it's not that big of a deal when it's winning state titles elsewhere. lol
