This I appreciate. I went to Tazewell and we have always had this stereotype. My education was second to none. Sometimes it isn't always about what happens on Friday night. Yes football is a religion here with the highest population of it denomination but there are other things to life. Our baseball and softball teams compete and compete well. Soccer has picked up. Academic team and forensics place in state. All of the bashing is ridiculous. It's like we are the Cubs pre 2016. What would help is if we get back on track. 3 competitive teams in one county would be amazing just like the old days. Forget the coaching revolving door. Wyatt was a good coach and left bc of parent involvement ( our kryptonite). Smith didn't want to be here nor did we want him, but it was June or July and we needed a coach. He couldn't have cared less and I hate him as the VHigh coach when we rocked them for a region championship and wanted to ruin any bit of celebration we had. Tate couldn't control himself, keeping it G rated for the Christian folk. Allen is a good man and made his mistakes along the way. He will learn from it, Just like our community should. Let the coach do his job, including discipline.

Nobody knows anything right now. The job will be posted and applications will be accepted and they will all be looked at.  After that, interviews will take place and then a recommendation will be made.  Anything by anybody right now is pure speculation.

Graduated with Lj and played football with him as well, and it was Lj and Amy wanting to put the field in and have it named after them. But the school board declined!

New Facilities?  Oh you mean the new locker room.  Yeah it looked pretty nice.  The playing field itself needs some work in my opinion.  That has to be the hardest and lumpy field we played on this year.  Even then it's not a bad place to watch a football game. Tazewell certainly deserves to be better than what they have been.

I'm not sure Tazewell would be a good "stopping place" for a resume. At this point Tazewell High School football is where coaching careers go to die. I'm hearing they want a current Graham coach or the current Tazewell middle school coach. The kids there are long overdue for a taste of success. Just not sure the community is willing to stick it out for the growing pains.

I get what youre saying Ryan and ive heard it a lot from different people but honestly that's not the issue, from 2005-2014 there was a team in Dickenson County that could have competed very well in the MD and probably won some district titles(2005, 2013, 2014 Haysi teams and 2006- 2012 Clintwood teams) but the talent simply isint in the school right now. Every program has peaks and valleys in terms of raw talent and right now Dickenson Co is in a valley. Any of those team I listed would take this Ridgeview team behind the wood shed.

Week in week out is different but any of those teams I listed would whoop up on Ridgeview. I have faith that Mullins will get the program on track but right now they are pretty bad.

The last thing they need is a coaching change right now, it would stop the programs development and set them up for a decade of struggles(no offense intended but look at what has happened at Tazewell and Lee).

Just gonna have to ride this out
