DR takes this one. Richlands did not slow the Chatham game down like some on here have posted. Chatham slowed it down, it's what Chatham tried to do with DR also. Richlands will make the mistake of trying to run and gun and three ball with them, it's in their blood. Mistake. I don't think DR is a team that will slow things down, it will surprise me if they do. They will be able to play Richlands man to man much better than Chatham did.

I think it is safe to say Scottie Ball owned this game. I was a little off of the 23 point victory Richlands only won by 16. I was a little sharper on the gate city game, predicting a score of 77 to 62 and it was 78 to 63. Richlands was up by 18 at one point. Congratulations to Richlands on their first Region Win. Gate City don't like to beat up on people, Grahams leaves Gate City limping from a 15 point loss. Richlands rested fresh and at home, Kudos to Phillips for putting his team in a fresh, rested position. An early Congrats on the programs first region win! Union limped out of Gate City with a 9 point loss and they will limp out of Richlands with bigger 23 point loss. 23 questionable? Either way they will limp out of Richlands.

I have seen Union and I seen Gate City. Gate City could have won by ever how much they wanted to at UVA wise. I hope you get a chance to watch Mac from Gate City. A very special player. Union is lazy. I watched Mitchell in football , he is very fast when he wants to be. He never goes left in basketball and his dribbling is not great and he jogs up and down the court. Just seems to not like the game. Slagle won't be enough. Ball will own them both. mv91, I want to ask you one question. You said you was at the game last night and I know you know this team well. Do you think JV players will play Tuesday night and three other players who played last night. Now I will agree those players tried their best while they was in there last night but I don't see them getting playing time Tuesday. And one good thing for Richlands .....Is that Union can't play them man to man like Graham did. Union is one of the slowest teams I've watched. #11 is really good when he gets to play but he don't start. Their coach suffers too. I am already celebrating the first Region win for RHS. I want to see those guys get it.

futbolking I think they didn't want it to be to obvious, they made it look like they tried. And to some degree I think they did. I think they want Union to believe the wheels are falling off the program, they want them thinking like what local insight said about them , that they are "pure trash" This was not a big or a have to game for them. They didn't lose a thing but gained a lot by losing. One thing about it we will find out Tuesday night. I'll be the one holding up the sign that says ; "Where are you at futbolking?" It's a game that is already forgotten, It wouldn't surprise me if they didn't drive straight to Richlands and are in there practicing right now. basketball is a very mental game and I feel like you know that. And this head coach is one of the best at the mental aspect of basketball. Now if the head coach puts jv players in the first half and plays 3 other players that played tonight I'll jump on the band wagon and say the wheels are falling off but if Union thinks their going to walk in that gym and not be in a basketball game , they will lose by 23 and I think that is what will happen............

They played 5 players tonight that will see ZERO action Tuesday night.

Richlands moved up two JV players and they saw playing time. Does this sound like a move to make in a game your trying to win? Gate City has a very special player.....he will let a team hang around until they get close. the game your speaking of is the game where he scored 47 points, he almost beat union by himself......he always shows up he just didn't have any teammates show up with him that night. him being Mac.
