I read on the other board that one of our good Ridgeview friends on this board is pulling for Appomattox, lol. I want to voice my support for Gate City, Union or Central to take the M7 next year😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂! If any of y’all three go on to play past Regionals, I’ll gladly cheer you on my compadres! #RegionDSticksTogether Go GMen! Let’s bring back that win to Region D for all of us!!!!

The QB is a sophomore but was starting QB last year as a freshman. I’m not sure about RBs. I read that on the other board. They may have mentioned RBs. I just don’t recall to be honest.

I’ve read on here a few times (not this year) but in the past that Simon has ran the score up purposely. If that’s not the case, somebody can correct the misinformation.

Is he friends with Freddy Simon? 😂 I believe Tony Palmer could have had many shut outs this year had he chosen to do that. I’m glad though he doesn’t. It gives other players opportunities to get experience and a win is win whether it’s by 3 or 30. Plus, you don’t take a chance your starters get injured. However, I have heard Coach Smith is a stand up , really genuine fellow. He obviously knows how to build a solid program. By the same standard, the same can be said about Tony. I look forward to a great game. I don’t think either team is getting a shutout on Saturday.

Poor Zavion Turner has had at least one called back about every game, maybe more than one in a game or two. It truly seems like Graham is the only team in SWVA that has trouble with holding which I find hard to believe. They did get flagged a lot at some games more at home than away it seems. GMen have to definitely limit penalties, play smart and disciplined football. If they can do that I see them winning, maybe not big but at least winning. I have faith in the boys and coaches that they’ll be ready. Appomattox will undoubtably be the best team they’ve faced since Bluefield. GMen know it’s a one game season every week now and they don’t want that season ending this week. Let’s bring the W home Saturday for Bluefield, #5, & Region D!

That’s good to know because on the other board , it was Appomattox folks who were saying it didn’t ; Which is an honest mistake because truly how many home fans actually go on the visitor’s side ?

I think it probably won’t matter who wins because Riverheads should win easily whether it’s PH or MT.

I read there was on home side just not visitor’s side which is probably what you saw also. My question is can the VHSL require them to provide some type of temporary handicap seating for visitor’s side if someone handicapped requests it? I admittedly do not know the ins & outs of ADA law.

A dad of one of the players told me Graham will be traveling day of the game which is a good decision in my opinion. Let’s hope the weather is nice as far as precipitation. I don’t particularly want to sit through another cold & rainy game plus the field is grass. Don’t want a mud bowl either.

Agree plus I think it messes with their focus , keep things as routine as possible.

I’m betting day of the game but Ryan4VT would probably know or could find out. Edit: Yes, Richlands traveled day of the game, verified with one of the Richlands’ assistant coaches.

I hope Graham elects to travel day of instead of spending the night.

Someone from Richlands can correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t the loss in 2015 to Appo, the last game Snake coached at Richlands as their defensive coordinator? Then Richlands lost in 2016 & Union in 2017 I believe. I could have that mixed up though. I believe Tony & company will have the GMen well prepared. Hopefully, GMen can bring the win to Region D, a little retribution for us all by beating Appomattox .

What kind of offense does Appomattox normally run? Has Graham faced anyone comparable to them offensively speaking? As far as defense, Graham’s is playing very solid. Of course, offensively Graham has multiple ways to put up points.

I hope the weather is not like it was today. That was too wet & cold for me. I hope we pack out visitor's’ side which if I recall isn’t much seating compared to other places.

Graham needs to bring their A+++++ game especially with Kiser out. I believe he starts on offense & defense. Graham needs fans to show up big time too!

Congratulations to Graham GMen & hats off to Central. They are young and I can see them being the team that takes M7 next year who knows maybe even the region. They had a great fan base show up that cheered those boys on until the clock hit 00:00. Good luck next week, GMen! Our guys hold better or more often than any team in SWVA apparently. Clean up the penalties, focus, & take it to the Raiders!

They were saying he threw a punch at a Central player. Tape should be able to confirm it. Seems a bit out of character but in the heat of the game, anything can happen.
