I agree most coaches wouldn’t want to change opponents midweek. If it’s not Covid but the other C word, wouldn’t Covington had known that in time to let VHSL know they would be unable to play??? Maybe the answer is no , I’m just asking.

I like that idea plus don’t give 2A points for playing 1A schools. That’s plain idiotic in my opinion. It’s ridiculous to have teams with a losing record in the playoffs. Once again, just my opinion.

Doesn’t look like for VA High who would be hosting as 2nd in PP. Richlands would definitely not be hosting as #6.

I would like to see Tazewell pull the upset but I think Central wins easily.

Yes, I’d fine tune some things & leave starters in for at least 3rd Q maybe longer. It’s definitely a fine line but Graham needs to take advantage of the opportunity since they last two games were essentially blowouts with starters not playing a full game. If I’m Palmer, let the critics talk & do what you need to do to ensure your guys are best prepared for round 2.

If the region had simply done 1-8 seeding, all three would be at home. With that said, every team needs to play at the park from time to time. It’s truly a great atmosphere & a test for any teams fortitude. Good luck to both!

Richlands ended up 6th in region in powerpoints yet gets home game & VA High is 2nd and travels. I don’t have a dog in the fight Graham is home regardless but it just seems plain wrong.

I kind of feel for VA High having to go to the park as the visiting team when they outpointed Union but Richlands is home team. Whacky post season set up this fall.

Might as well get some insight into this one! Thoughts?

I feel like this has the potential to be the closest first round games depending entirely on Union. VA High isn’t battle tested and that showed up against Richlands in my opinion. No disrespect but their front line is weak but they have some playmakers. Union fans keep saying Union isn’t the same Union that played Graham. If so, close game. If they play close to how they played Graham, VA High goes home. Merely my opinion, others may disagree. Thoughts?

I would think Graham/Lee game would be Friday night due to college games on Saturday at Mitchell. Hopefully, something official is posted by tomorrow.

Wow! That’s a bit off the rails. I’m sure it’s been a frustrating season at the Fort but definitely not a good look to finish out. Classy wins over assy.
