    I figured I’d fact-check this one:

    2018:

Auburn (5-6, but 2 losses to Narrows)

    Houston (6-5)

    Covington (7-4)

Bath County (5-6, 1 loss to Narrows)

Parry McCluer (7-5, 1-1 against Narrows)

    2017:

Covington (8-4, 2 losses to Narrows)

    2016:

    None

It’s not a murderer’s row, and the 2016-2017 schedules were bottom-heavy.  Last year was legitimate, though.  5 teams that are at/over .500 when you take out the Narrows losses.

So, I was just guessing, but I was dead on. .500 is not a winning record. Narrows bolted out of the MED to the Pioneer district solely for the purpose of having winning football seasons. Never mind the travel burden it puts on all other sports.

  2. If schedules were reversed, Giles would be 3-0, Narz would be 0-3. But they are catching a banged up Giles team, could be close. Giles has a big size advantage up front, will probably be able to dominate the line, both sides

Sometimes it takes a little deciphering or maybe even call in an interpreter, but sometimes once you figure it out, he is kind of funny.

To say Floyd is not that good is ridiculous,  they have a great defense.

Yeah, Floyd likely goes 8-2. Unless Radford can hang with them. Probably even get a higher playoff seeding than Giles unless the Spartans beat Glenvar. Floyd wasn't very impressive on offense, but their defense is pretty good and will win some games for them even if the offense struggles. Plus they got a strong kicking game. That boy can hammer some punts.

I have no complaints on defense. But when you run 44 15 times and it doesn't work, don't try that play 20 more times. We attempted 2 pass attempts and had people open all over the place both times. When the defense is stacking the box, you pass it some to back them off.

I kept hearing people around me complaining about running the same plays over and over, but Giles was getting 5, 6 yards a pop. Floyd was playing linebackers and defensive backs farther back than anybody Giles has played this year. They were not stacking the box. They shut down the wing back plays. Giles had the lead the whole game. They are not going to throw much and not much st all with the lead.

Giles needs to find another back to take the load off of Beidleman. Floyd keyed him and did a decent job most of the night on defense.

Giles took what Floyd gave them. Floyd pretty much took the outside away, so Giles plugged away up the middle. Took advantage of turnovers and field position. Defense really only gave up 3 points tonight and got a shut out last week, so I'm glad to see this young defense coming along with a few games experience.

  7. Floyd has not given Giles a competitive game for about the last 6 or 7 years. All blow-outs, all over in the 1st qtr. Giles is probably as good offensively as they have been most of those years, so Floyd will have to of improved tremendously to hang. I'll take Giles 38-7

  8. I don't see any full back on Giles roster that looks like they would make a significant difference in what they have now. Not really a true full back on the team right now. Face it, that offense will only go as far as the line and Bieldleman can take it This year.

  9. Narz seems to come out a lot more fired up for this game than the Giles players. So Giles sometimes start slow then wake up to realize they are in a fight, then usually pull away in the end. If Narz has any passing game, they may hang in there. Giles  is young on defense but play the run pretty well. I think Giles may throw a little early, just to see what's there. I'll take Giles 28-13.
