Yeah, the line play hasn't been good. Offensively they weren't protecting the QB and creating holes and defensively the weren't getting any pressure. JM QB had pretty much all day to throw. They got one sack maybe two. Lack of depth is unusual for Bluefield. I'm used to them having upwards of 50 players but the last few seasons looks like they have 35 or so. Also there were multiple games this year Bluefield had leads and lost it in the 2nd half.

yeah i just think since it's a big rivalry and first game of the year it tends to be closer regardless how the rest of the season goes. Game was very close last year as well and Bluefield started 0-4 and Graham won state.

I know Blacksburg is a struggling program lately but how bad do they have to be to lose to Giles 35-8? I know those two schools have a history but how much larger is Blacksburg than Giles?

I didn't know where he coached prior to Martinsburg. I know the post said at one school so I was just referring to Martinsburg.
