Depends on what Virginia high team shows up to be honest. If they play like they did in Wise it could be close most of the game. I really liked it when they used Thomas at QB with Delaney at RB, it gave their offense some explosiveness until Central figured it out and Virginia High failed to adjust. I think Chilhowie wins by 3 tds in the end.

Congrats on the tough win. Lebanon is improving it will take time but they will get there. Young teams have to start somewhere.

Nope I'm picking Richlands but your method isn't 100 percent accurate I picked Central haha. Good luck to Richlands the rest of the season. Lebanon will lose to you in football but we will win in other sports haha.

I don't live in Lebanon...but i do work at the school. Richlands won I was wrong it happens not the end of the world.

Funny thing was I never claimed Lebanon was good. I said I thought they were improved. Honestly they shouldn't be good they are playing with over half the roster being freshman and Sophomores. Give them a couple years and I gaurentee they will be a solid team. I've always thought and said their absolute ceiling was 4 wins, If they dont reach that then I will be quick to admit I was wrong. I'm not sorry for pulling for them and being vocal about it. I've got my reasons for it and I could really care less what you or anyone has to say about it. If you don't like my opinions then it's your right and we will agree to disagree and that goes for every other person on here.

Does it really matter how Burton would do? Union and Ridgeview should beat them they are bigger schools, so what does that prove? I think people from Ridgeview and Union need to worry about Abingdon and some of the tougher teams, will try to take advantage of the weaknesses that have been pointed out.

Bingo someone gets it. I would agree that Ridgeview is good, but last year they if I remember right they were called "the team to beat" and it was so called "their year" and on and on. I also remember them losing to an Abingdon team who many thought would only win 3 games after Reed left right when practice was starting. The same Abingdon team who everyone made a big deal about when they lost to a winless hidden valley( their last loss before the playoffs btw) They also got hammered in the playoffs in an upset if im correct. The Adkins kid is good no doubt and I'm sure they have other players but dont act for a second as If they aren't beatable and he is totally unstoppable.

I guess good for me then. I am going to point out that I'm quick to admit when I'm wrong. Lebanon might only win a couple games this year and I'm good with it. They will be better next year. They are not bad for being mostly freshman and sophomores. I have reasons for giving the support I do and I honestly dont care what you or anyone else in this forum has to say about it. I think your right I see central winning at least 6 or 7.

You definitely haven't seen Va High play, they are not good. They do have some speed but are overall slow on the defensive line. They do not move well on defense, so they tend to struggle with speed. Their offense is better than their defense, but not by a lot. They will be lucky to hold Central under 50 points in my opinion.

I agree I think Virginia High has potential. Lebanon is also a young team that will be good in a couple of years. Most on here don't realize that Lebanon Is playing with over half its Roster being freshman and Sophomores. I see people downing lebanon as well but don't ever discuss their potential in the next couple seasons. I would think people from Tazwell would get that because they've watched a team grow.

True lebanon has those numbers, over half the roster are Freshman and Sophomores. That is the issue, they allowed the program to almost die before they expanded the youth league to help numbers.

Guess we will find out....I follow both Lebanon and Abingdon....due to employment. I work at Lebanon my wife works at AHS. And yes based on the body of work between both teams right now I'd give the advantage to Abingdon, but what do I know?

All of those who say Abingdon was overhyped, have you ever thought that... A. Pulaski was a 4A school B. That maybe Pulaski was just that good. They would have dominated all the 2A schools Abingdon plays in the same fashion. C. Abingdon will still beat 2A schools the rest of the way if they play the right way. I say Abingdon by 2 tds.

I admit I thought they would do better, when you are playing mostly freshman and sophomores with a few juniors and seniors it's what happens. Very rarely do you get talented underclassman like Central has, that are good enough to win games consistently. They have to learn how to win. They are improving each week.
