Yep, then Creasy pulls out 3TDs to give them the win!

I hate to say this, but if it wasn’t for Creasy tazewell wouldn’t have much of anything going for them. It seems Tazewells play calling is made up of a peewee coach, they can’t tackle to save their lives. If this stuff don’t get cleaned up it’s gonna be a long rest of the season and another one and done.

  2. Tazewell bounces back, but no matter who they play they are gonna have to learn to tackle. We all learned in youth league that arm tackling don’t work!! Come on now! That has to improve. But I think tazewell will win this one.

    42-14 dogs

  3. Princeton is tough this year, tazewell has its moments but this isn’t a team you can stay low with for 3 quarters. If tazewell played every quarter like they’ve been playing the fourth here lately they may could keep it close but still don’t see a win. I’m a die hard bulldog, but I’m also real. Tigers by 21+.

Fort Chiswell has a new coach and he seems to be having a positive impact on the program. I have a buddy whose son plays for the Pioneers & only has good things to say about the direction the program is going under the new leadership. Whether that translates to a win against Tazewell, I’m not sure. Tazewell is really lucky to have escaped Richlands game with the win in my opinion. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top. On paper , should be Tazewell but paper won’t matter come Friday night. I do hope the new coach stays for a long time, that team deserves some stability.

I like your attitude. With this said, I hope it is close and they do good against tazewell (just tazewell on top of course) but I hope he stays and they build a great program up. They certainly do deserve it!

I actually think Richlands is better than people think. Yes they still aren't great but if they play other games with the same intensity, I see them winning several of them. The rivalry always brings out the best/worst in both of the teams sometimes.

I do have to agree with you on this. But they are still not a “typical” Richlands team. Now 3 years from now, I think they’ll be back up.

Tazewell just got helped by the refs on that one

It goes both ways as far as “help from the refs” on those calls. Richlands isn’t as bad as I thought, but still pretty terrible. Tazewells playing Friday night just made them look decent. I’m not bashing them by no means, but the only win I see them getting is Lebanon and maybe Marion.

Strange things always happens with this game, but the second half being played on a different night just about takes the cake.  Richlands only needs to match Tazewell score for score to come out on top.  Tazewell needs to go to the air in a hurry up offense, but they have to stop Richlands from running clock.  So how does everyone see this turning out?

I agree with you on both sides of this. Tazewell needs to do what they done their last drive of the first half. Pass with hurry up, and fast tempo. Richlands really surprised me in this game, but they always play their best against tazewell as I guess that comes with rivalry. Wish a good injury free game for both teams.

Watched a little bit of the Abingdon/Battle game.

Two things stood out for Battle...the number of fans that came to watch them, they usually don't have that many at a home game, and the other... they're playing with a little swagger. Just carrying themselves a little bit different than past years. Usually, they look defeated before the game even starts.

Not sure what that means for this game, but I think it will be worth the price of admission.

This is actually true, in years past and they still tend to do it sometimes Tazewell will go into a game vs a good opponent and instantly hold their heads down. I was young once, if you go into something looking for failure, failure will happen. Gotta have confidence.

    Just a few days away!

I’m ready for it. I look forward to high school football every year. It sucks cause I’m gonna only get to go to a few this year, but I always rewatch the games and listen to them. I think their main focus should be shutting down triple C. Does riverheads got a QB that can throw the ball around? If not, load the box, and even if he bust out a pass, I think we have the right secondary to cover it. I’m not sure, I honestly have mixed thoughts on how this game is gonna turn out. I think it can be close if the dogs come out on all cylinders to start off and shut down triple C. But we will see Saturday. Go dawgs!

I thought it was decent/average as well. Per another thread, it pales in comparison to what we come to expect during the years of success and packed houses.

I guess that’s what they were referring to as they were older folks. I support the blues as long as it ain’t against tazewell. Us tazewell folks know how it is to be “the losing team”. & like bleed blue said they don’t deserve not to be supported. These kids win or lose put in a lot of blood sweat and tears and deserve to have a crowd on Friday nights cheering them on win or lose.
