After that first Marion TD, Graham seems to have woken up a bit. Hitting harder, tackling better. Marion has a few good ball players, the qb, tight end and a couple running backs look like good ball players.

How will this play out? They have the Bye week next week, followed by Lebanon and then a tough matchup with Pulaski Co. Will they get healthy and make necessary adjustments to improve enough to be a contender late in the season? If they come out and have another performance like they did against V - High, I could see this game coming down to the wire again. Clean up the penalties and sloppy play and they should win comfortably (with or without Clements). They will need Clements at 100% and the O - Line to improve a bit down the stretch, I think to make another run this year. They are a long way from where they were at at the end of last season. Can they get there? or be close to the team they were last season? I think so, the pieces are there, they just need to start putting it all together and soon. Graham has made tremendous improvement the past couple of years as the season goes on. This season, they seem to be stuck in neutral. Gonna have to kick it into gear, or they will be parked in the garage late in the playoffs.

Tazewell needs to work on sealing the edge. Teams have been successful running to the outside against them. Offensively, they should be able to score on Grundy, just got to tighten up the defense a little. Princeton is a very, very good team this year. A lopsided loss to Princeton, should not discourage the Dogs. Lot of football left to play this season.

Everybody has been there at one point or another. It can only get better.

Riverheads will have to do what they do best, control the ball and capitalize on their possessions. I'll take C - Burg in this one.

Good assessment, as always. The biggest concern for Graham has to be the play of their offensive line. A healthy Clements would help Graham overcome some of those deficiencies on the line. Not only were they losing the battle on the L.O.S. but they also had about 10 holding penalties. That has got to improve. Getting Lloyd back on the OL in a couple of weeks will help. I think Clements will return by the PC game and "should" be nearly 100%. Floyd is still gimpy and I don't think Jennings is at 100% yet either. Thank goodness for Chris Edwards, Blake Graham and Gabe Lilly stepping up last night to make some plays. Most 2A teams wouldn't have the depth to be 4-1 at this point with the injury situation that Graham has.

I agree. The 0-Line in particular seems to need the most work. The Defensive line did come around and improve as the game went on. It's already mid-season and Graham is having some problems that you would expect to see in pre-season or early season. Not sure if it's too late to fix or not, but the season is halfway over already, going to have to figure it out fast.

I haven't been too impressed with Riverheads or Central either. I think Radford and Union can play with anybody right now.
