yes union did beat battle, was not a real upset, these 2 teams played each other hard all year. they pulled moore in top of the 7th an union jumped all over the relief pitcher.

you may be right with the way things are now, used to be the league winner an tournament winner or 2nd place team if tourney was won by league champ went to regionals. now they use points an send 4. they have made things way too way too complicated for me to keep up with, when was it ever a win to lose to a better team or school?

Ricker will do good at Battle, he has a great group coming back an the kids believe in him like they did Stone.

battle is good but only if they can avoid some mistakes an the bats show up, the pitching seems to be good enough to keep them in games

battle was short a main cog for the Ridgeview game, the Cunningham kid #20 was out hurt, he would have made a difference.

battle has come a long way late in season, the bats have come alive but the pitching is still hit or miss.

My 1st time posting on this site but I have a question, I have not read anything on these awards in any of the local papers so where did you find this? I know the Bristol paper dont pay a lot of attention to the schools on the Va. side (they are interested in Tenn. schools) I am always in search of things on the Battle Boys because of my grandson.
