If they're matching his coaching stipend in NC, I guess T. Palmer & J. Harris will be getting a raise. I heard  the subject he wanted to teach was weightlifting ALL day & not a traditional class. That would be technically a new position. If that were to happen, I would presume, Tazewell & Graham would also add such a position.  I can't imagine he'd want AD responsibilities. Heck from what I heard Ann Mance has been doing it all, I'd just let her keep it, lol since she's staying put. If they accept all his "requests" he'll be taking the helm. Which three coaches is he planning on keeping?

where would the money come from? tazwell county have that kind of money??

Stop the nonsense!!!  Richlands has Sage Webb returning, a true speedster, just a junior next year, I think.  Also,I don't remember the  name, but  the QB position  is a player around 6'4...6'5. Every year players graduate and someone has to fill open positions.

Adults  leave work environments  ALL the time for the betterment of their family and future retirement. Mance was approached about the position becoming available in SC.  Anyone in this stage of their life who is being proactive about their future  would certainly listen to any offer broached, especially if it's a  move with more money and not a career change. Good luck Coach Mance in SC !!!

should be a senior held back, its over man, its over! graham will be your daddy for years to come. get your popcorn ready

If GW uses the same defense , the score will be as it was the first time they played. The physicality of the first game was something GW did not want any part of. GW wanted to tackle the runner after he ran by them instead of coming up and taking him on. GW had better get real physical or they will not have a chance.

I would like to see GW come out with 3 down lineman and add another skill player on D. make their lineman come out and block in space instead of easily blocking their 4 man front. will never happen though

This is the first game where being short the injured and suspended players caught up with us.  This wasn't the team that beat Chilhowie and Giles, not in the trenches anyway.  THey've been able to make do with the level of competition they've played in district.  Can't outrun that at this point in the playoffs.  Still proud of the boys and how they played and what they accomplished.  Hope for more of the same next year.

you had kids suspended? bad timing

He has only played a series or 2 on D in those contests.  But, yes I thought he did very well. Didnt go to the Lebanon game.  Was he in there with 2nd teamers?  He was getting a big push on the o-line in the couple games I have seen him in there (very limited). He just needs to get a big push and disrupt the play.  I would line him up right over center.

we will see, gonna be a muddy mess there

Awesome.  I feel the same about Meadows on defense.  I feel that he should play more snaps on D against teams that can run well. He gets a big push on that o-line and can seriously disrupt the running game.

i was at the lebanon game he got smoked. so you have that

As for game strategy, I'm thinking this.......if I'm Graham, I'm keying on Polier every play with a spy, be it Edwards or Kastner, and I'm ensuring big Meadows is on defense on early snaps where Union is likely to run and can't get a huge push, and thus forcing them into a long second and/or 3rd down. Also, having Lester knowing exactly where Jenkins is on every play as Union will try to get him the ball in conservative passing situations.

If I'm Union, I'm betting that Graham doesn't have the discipline to go 70 yrds down the field in a long-sustained drive, thus I'm keeping everything in front of me and refusing to get beat deep. I'm counting on a Graham penalty/hold (which Graham is capable of doing for sure) and or a turnover/offsides with the fan noise that kills their drive, and by all of the above, refusing to get beat deep or with the big play and counting on Graham not being able to repeatedly move the ball down the field methodically, if I just don't give up the big play, they will get a penalty or turnover (discipline issues) and their drive stopped.

Whichever team in my opinion gets the best of the other in those situations above will come out on top. I think it's within 1 td either way, and this game is going to be nailbitingly close.

Sasquatch, since you asked for thoughts on strategy, that is my take on it.

yea put meadows in and see how that works for you!! Not good is my guess
