I'm fairly certain Narrows had less than than 20 in 98 and 99 when we went to the Region C finals both years??!! Two teams in the district were also above us in classification as well.

It's probably better now than it was previously but I agree 8 is too many. I remember a time where a district winner was an automatic playoff birth and that system screwed over some really good teams. Grayson winning the old MED at 5-5 would knock out a 9-1 Glenvar or Giles. There was a pioneer district team that would always knock out a 3rivers district team too because they were in a district with lower level schools. Galax lost an all-star running back in a 1st round game a few years ago against Bland that almost sent Narrows to their 2nd State semifinals ever.

People get the ban even if they didn't don't say anything wrong sometimes. Some clarification would be nice I think other than getting the hammer dropped on them for expressing an opinion

Do you not know what the term cycle means??? If it's never happened before it's not exactly a cycle now is it??? You were probably one of the ones talking up that sophomore class from last year that had 6-7 kids playing every down on either offense or defense. Everyone expected big things and have changed their tune. Did those kids get worse or what? No, they got out programmed is what happened. The wellness center shouldn't be Giles weight program but unfortunately it is

Grayson was practicing I know for a fact on June 17th in helmet and pads. What was Giles doing? Absolutely nothing is what they were doing. At best they were having a one of their 3 day a week if you want to participate weight lifting sessions?

The last time Giles had losing seasons for 3 out of four years like they do now was 1976-1978. They dropped in attendance and dropped classification so that should equal out. Giles is a larger 1A school and not being competitive currently against schools that have never had good programs. It's literally not that hard to figure out
