  1. That’s what I was thinking. Luckily for Princeton it’s a 2 score advantage.
  2. This will not change in Dickenson County for a minimum of 4 more years. Especially since the entire school board and BOS was re-elected running unopposed. Only thing that’ll change it is if the superintendent’s husband doesn’t like what he sees in the field.
  3. It’s an LPD thing. See Clintwood teams in the late 2000’s early 2010’s.
  4. I believe that’s right. In that time period.
  5. Not him but has ties to SWVA. Specifically Bullitt Park.
  6. Heard a rumor that the hire may be someone with local ties.
  7. Union has a quality that most teams around here don’t have. They know how to put a game a way in the 4th qtr. better than anyone.
  8. Oddly enough that’s one of the first things they told us when we got to Parris Island,
  9. Same goes for life in the military.
  10. Good article. It does sound like they need to get some hard rules down for scheduling purposes. WVA is a small state. Sounds like some schools are making things more difficult than they need to be.
  11. I apologized in another thread. It was their complaints about holding and the refs. Then a couple of really bad calls against Tazewell came up and I realized that it wasn’t just homerism,
  12. Because most are from east of Roanoke and there is nothing to do in Wise. I don’t want to sound racial but I think Wise especially being mostly a white town doesn’t help.
  13. This is very true. It was like that when I went to school there in 96. The only time the program was rolling was then with Ramseyer. Made the playoffs a year earlier.
  14. If they want to build a solid team and want a local coach, they may want to look at Palmer at Graham or Turner at Union. It would be a risky hire but it would get the areas attention for sure.
  15. I think 6 is the magic number. It’s not perfect but in most years it’ll make sure all the good teams get in. I remember in Rick Mullins first year at Clintwood missing the playoffs a with an 8-2 record. The bad part about that was Rye Cove got in with a worse record because they won the Cumberland. That was when the way class 1 &2 were split was a joke.
  16. And to clarify, I am referring to scholarships. Something they are very stingy with up there even though they are a public university. The only one in the conference they are in.
  17. It doesn’t matter who they hire. If they don’t spend money on the program they are going no where.
  18. If I were them I’d call Justin Hamilton and see if he’s interested. I know he’s with the Tennessee Titans but it wouldn’t kill them to try.
  19. Too many teams or too many classifications? Maybe both?
  20. I was mostly referring to the complaining about holding. Being homers is fine.
  21. Ts beats Chilhowie 28-21 in OT.
  22. After the Union game it’s been straight off the cliff. I can see the frustration. You go green m thinking you had a real shot against Union to being blown out in your last 3 games.
  23. Chilhowie Twin Slrings headed to OT.
  24. Dang. I had flipped over to chilhowie Ts for a moment. ts with a goal line stand game tied @ 21
  25. They have. Just all the main talent is injured. The season sometimes is a battle of attrition.
