Sadly for Union the difference in this game could wind up being the loss of their starting kicker.

My bad, imo they seemed to spend too much time in the huddle looking at them and still had a ton of confusion in the backfield causing turnovers and negative plays. But hey whatever works keep it up

On the topic of coaching: One thing I noticed about Richlands offense was the wristband play sheet. That tells me the system is over complicated for the level of play. Union played tough in the trenches and owned the LOS, it's tough to beat a team that can do that.

Thinking back to 1992 one of the founding members of Union (Powell Valley) played Richlands to start the season in a close ball game decided by 1 point in favor of Richlands. I don't see that happening this year but it will be close! Union 28 Richlands 21

After watching Union at Elizabethton; I'm not sure how well Union will match up with Ridgeview in the secondary. RV will outmatch them with size and speed. If Union beats RV it will be due to time management and turnovers.

I'm not sure Union has a great year next year. It may be a re-building year for them. I think RV may be the best team in M7 next year with the athletes they have coming back. Who knows what Abingdon will produce with the talent they had on the bench. They seemed to have some solid backups. Central will have to be very well coached to win. Gate City......not sure maybe two years out for them Lee.....will continue to be Lee for one more year John Battle will still be better at baseball

I would not expect the T next year for Union....unless they can come up with a real 3rd back to feel the FB role

If I was the principal at RC, I would be trying to still Davis away from Twin Springs.

Numbers pulled from Va Dept of Ed for fall enrollment. I added the 8th grade numbers for what 22/23 will look like for SW and M7.

I judge a player on how they performed against their best opponents. Let's be honest some teams in the M7 were really crappy on defense this year and allowed some huge numbers to be put up. Let's not even talk about the 1A teams playing the M7. You want to compare numbers look at the big games and how players performed and throw the rest out.

I think the Central RB was on the list...so maybe he was. Please share the numbers for O'Quinn, I can't find any info for his season stats. Lambert had a great season with Abingdon winning the MT7 and Region D......Also beat the piss out of RV.....so yah he was better than O'Quinn
