It would be nice if they could build a business in SW Virginia that would create jobs and keep people in the area. Were sports fans so maybe build another race track maybe a 3rd of the size of Bristol and or try and get any amateaur golf tournament in the area. In sore there are some great golf courses in the area. In sore you can think if some other good ideas.

Liberty (Bedford) has quite the conundrum. Assigned to Division 2 next year but still stuck playing in the Seminole District -- where the Minutemen still aren't exactly competitive in football. Basically our brand new AD (in his first year at that level) will need to find three nondistrict opponents that we can beat -- and who are willing to play us -- who happen to be in classifications higher than Division 2. And even that might not be enough since I think the number of teams that will qualify in Region 2C is contracting next year.
So for those who wonder why/how teams with 3-7 records make the playoffs in Virginia.... Well, this is one source of that madness.
Go ahead and just drop LCA, E C Glass, and Heritage from your schedule.

Last night I went and saw an 8 man football game and its a pretty good game to watch and worth the admission $5. All they need is for one team in southwest virginia to take an interest in 8 man football and I feel other teams will join. The closest 8 man football team to southwest virginia is in Lynchburg which is too far away from southwest Virginia.
I can not believe Liberty Bedford has to stay in the seminole district when they have the enrollment numbers to be in the dogwood district and the want to go to the dogwood district.
They currently have 8 man football in Virginia but not in the southwestern part of Virginia. If there was 8 man football in southwest Virginia they would need at least 6 to 8 teams in the area to make it work. Could this be done?
As far as realignment. Would it be a good or bad idea for the schools on the boarder of Kentucky, West Virginia, or Tennessee. To switch Leagues.
An example. Graham High School going to the West Virginia high school association or Bluefield High school joining the VHSL.
I know that some people would get more than upset at that idea but its an idea that might help out some of the schools that are too far away from other schools in the state.
Hello as you can see I have been working on playoffs for Class B and Class C and there is still a lot of work to do. If any of you can find out some info on the 2 games below I would appreciate it.
1. 1930 Marion won the championship over Clifton Forge It says championship but I think it should say Class B Championship but I have no proof of that.
2. 1942 from my understanding Covington beat Martinsville 26-0 in the Class B championship but I have no proof on that except that Lynn Burke said that it happened.
If any of you find out anything please post some proof that this did happen and thank you all for your help.
