Since my grandmother's family lived on Fries Road and most are buried in a small cemetery off of Windmill Road just across the county line in Grayson Co., I'd say I have ties to that area. And, my grandparents got married in Independence, so yeh, I'd say I have ties to that area. I've drank more iron water in my lifetime than most..."iron water", yes, that's how the well water from that area tastes...yeh, I'd say I have ties to that area.

I have lengthy ties to both Grayson and Carroll Co....maybe I should go run things...

Also, if you watch the play clock when they were taking a knee, they never let the clock go below 15 seconds, that cost them the win. Had they let it go to 1 each time, game was after snap on 3rd down...

Because there's a place for everything and everything should go in it's place...

And the moral of this story is, 1) it ain't over 'til it's over, and 2) don't quit until there's no time left on the clock...

Block six, onside recovery, two PI calls and a 35 yard FG for the win... Auburn tried to run the time off the clock but left 35 seconds on the clock....their players thought the game was over, up 9 points. When the kicked got blocked you could see the air go out of the players and the coached just looked stunned after that. Just a full blown choke job by both the Auburn players and coaches...

The way things were/are this year with covid...just be glad there was any pickem at all. If you want to run it next year, volunteer to do it. Not meaning to be an ass towards you, but when Ryan left the building, there wasn't going to be a pickem at all until havok stepped up. If you want to do it next year, it's yours.

They did most of their shooting from Fincastle Country Club. I showed them the shot of the two schools...shot starts with BHS and pans down the valley to GHS. They did that shot from behind #17 tee. The opening was on the practice putting green, The shot that starts at 1:38 is behind #17 tee (I was there behind the camera man). The shot at 2:25 of the train is on Virginia Ave. at the state line (of course) and then on 460 going in the WV, just past Food City. The shot at 5:43 is the shot that I showed them that pans from school to school. Those guys stayed at Fincastle playing golf when they weren't out getting video. They ended up giving me a sweatshirt that they go the week before from Trinity High School in Louisville, KY for all the help when the week was over.

Back in WV... Two AAA teams (Bridgeport & South Charleston) could advance to the State Title game without playing in the Semifinals this week, both Cabell Midlalnd and Musselman will rely upon the outcome of the Covid Map to see if they will be able to play on Sunday. In AA, Oak Glen finds itself in the same position as Cabell Midland and Musselmant. In A, there is only on Semifinal game this weekend as Ritchie Co. has advanced to the Title game by beating Greenbrier West last weekend in the quarterfinals.

Class AAA Bridgeport @ Cabell Midland, Game will be played on Sunday if Cabell Co. drops to Orange or better on the 10/28 Covid map. Musselman @ South Charleston, Game will be played on Sunday if Berkeley Co. drops to Gold or better on the 10/28 Covid map. Class AA Robert C. Byrd @ Oak Glen, Game will be played on Sunday if Hancock Co. drops to Gold or better on the 10/28 Covid map. Fairmont Sr. 21 Bluefield 19 Class A Pendleton Co. 7 St. Marys 21 Ritchie Co., Advanced to the State Championship game.

Today's winner of Greenbrier West/Ritchie Co. game will advance to the State Title game in two weeks.

Now, those games dependent upon today's Covid Map have been moved to Sunday, dependent upon tomorrow's Covid Map. Seriously folks, you can't make this stuff up...
