  1. The numbers on Gilliam's "preseason" ratings are the ending numbers from 2004. They mean absolutely zero right now. After about three weeks of play, his numbers will be much more accurate. Matt is a math wizard and his formula is second to none, but don't put much faith in the early numbers.
  2. Brenda B. Lawson Ed.D., Division Superintendent superintendent@tazewell.k12.va.us School Board Members Steve Davis, Chairman Western District sdavis@tazewell.k12.va.us Mike Dennis, Vice-Chairman Northwestern District mdennis@tazewell.k12.va.us Randy Conn, Member Southern District rconn@tazewell.k12.va.us Estelle "Cookie" Johnson, Member Eastern District cjohnson@tazewell.k12.va.us Robert "Spot" Steele, Member Northern District rsteele@tazewell.k12.va.us I'm believe Steele, Davis, and Dennis voted against signing at the Aug. 8th meeting...don't know for sure, the minutes of the meeting are nowhere to be found on the TCSB website.
  3. I find it offensive and politically incorrect!!!
  4. [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] $50 says he ends up watching it on TV... [/ QUOTE ] If so, it'll be at BW3 or some place like that in B'burg with lots of "talent"... [/ QUOTE ] Be careful, you're a married man now...
  5. As soon as the vote is taken at the meeting...
  6. $50 says he ends up watching it on TV...
  7. At the TCSB Office in Tazewell to discuss the lease of Mitchell Stadium. Residents of Bluefield, VA and all other interested parties: If at all possible please attend this meeting to show your support for Graham High School, our Coaches, Players, and Students. WE have to speak up now or lose playing our home football games at Mitchell Stadium!!!
  8. [ QUOTE ] WOODSTROCK! [/ QUOTE ] NO! NO! NO! You are getting confused it was Don STROCK and David WOODLEY.
  9. He should have taken they job at WVU when he had the chance...they don't mind folks who like to drink and run their mouth!!!
  10. Yeh I know what you mean! We started out as Bronze back in '97, bumped up to Silver in '00, and jumped to Gold two years ago in anticipation of this "mad dash" of reseating. Fortunately, we "maintained" a position high enough to get away tickets for some of the games but had to go through other sources for NCSU and UVA tickets. I'll let you know if I come up with any extras this year.
  11. [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Don't count your chickens before they hatch... [/ QUOTE ] Quit peeing on my cornflakes! [/ QUOTE ] I'm not...I'm crapping on your Wheaties...just like the TCSB is crapping on Bluefield, VA and its kids...
  12. Hey BigD... You got your season tickets yet???
  13. One new rule that I am aware of is all eligible receivers must line up no closer than 9 yards (the numbers on the field) to the sideline. Some teams liked to run a pass play where a WR would just be about a yard on the field (on their sideline, of course) and the defense would lose track of him. One of the teams Bluefield played in the playoffs last year tried that play a couple of times.
  14. [ QUOTE ] G Man this is ur warning!!! ur just trying to start some thing now. ill give u one more chanch. [/ QUOTE ] Thanks man! Everyone deserves a second "chanch"...
  15. [ QUOTE ] should be an interesting game.......would like hear reasons either team wins....... [/ QUOTE ] How about this one...Richlands has the better team this year...
  16. [ QUOTE ] so wheres that guy from GW that was spos to go to bluefield at? GW or Bluefield? [/ QUOTE ] He stayed at GW.
  17. Don't count your chickens before they hatch...
  18. I pulled for Miami from the time I was 5 years old...back in the days of Griese, Csonka, Kick, Morris, Warfield, etc... The '72 Dolphins is the first NFL team I can ever remember being a fan of. Don Strock was also an important piece to my Dolphin "fandom". Marino, Clayton, and Duper kept me loyal through the 80s and 90s. After they were all gone, I kinda drifted away from them as a loyal fan.
  19. I would guess AA. They have 653 students in 9-12...an average of about 163 kids per grade which would be about 490 for three grades.
  20. [ QUOTE ] Cowboys are my team!! [/ QUOTE ] The Cowboys suck!!!
  21. Used to be a huge Dolphins fan but not as much anymore...things just aren't the same without guys like Shula, Marino, etc.... I still pull for them but not like I used to.
  22. [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] was really kind of surprised that they even could play with Midland, much less lead until near the end. Ended up tieing 14-14. Princeton was big up front, but teams with a lot of speed will blow by them, they looked like they lack foot speed. The schedule will really be tough for them in the MSAC. I can see them going 3-7, 4-6, or 5-5. [/ QUOTE ]we hung with midland in our scrimmage. in the 10 plays them 10 plays us thing at the end if it with both teams running 40 plays they beat us 6 to 0 [/ QUOTE ] Once again, you are confused. They are talking about Cabell Midland, a WV AAA school from the Huntington area. You are talking about Midland Trail, a WV A school from Fayette Co...HUGE difference... Face it, Pocy will be lucky to win a game this year...it is time for the eternal "mercy rule" to be placed on Pocahontas...
  23. [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Just as long as you are not my neighbor... [/ QUOTE ] Would you be mine, could you be mine, wont you be my neighboor,Gman? lol [/ QUOTE ] NOPE!!!
  24. [ QUOTE ] No Propblem.. I guess you can condsider me as your friendly neighboor hood mr rodgers [/ QUOTE ] Just as long as you are not my neighbor...
  25. The Packers are the only team on that list that I can remotely come close to pulling for. Come on now, cut the fins a break, they've struggled the last few seasons...everybody loves the underdog...
