  1. [ QUOTE ] well heres a start ill see what else i can find for ya buddy. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,200499,00.html [/ QUOTE ] "The weapons are thought to be manufactured before 1991 so they would not be proof of an ongoing WMD program in the 1990s." --------------------------- "Offering the official administration response to FOX News, a senior Defense Department official pointed out that the chemical weapons were not in useable conditions. "This does not reflect a capacity that was built up after 1991," the official said, adding the munitions "are not the WMDs this country and the rest of the world believed Iraq had, and not the WMDs for which this country went to war." These can all be found within the context of that article.
  2. [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Canada does not have a ruler that is killing innocent people every day just because they do something that he doesnt like. Canada is not a threat to any country that I know of so no there would be no reason to go to war with them. The things that were going on in iraq needed to be taken care of and now they are. The people of iraq and the US will be a little better off after all of this is finished. [/ QUOTE ] I hate to tell you this but if we're invading countries for the sole reason of stopping genocide then we're way behind because this happens all over the world, Darfur for example, and the US hasn't raised a legitimate finger to help those people. [/ QUOTE ] Wrong. they have had troops over there on the ground for awhile now. almost two years ago, (feb 16 2006) President Bush called for 7000 troops to go in and help NATO and the african troops... dont believe me? here is the link... http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/02/17/AR2006021701935.html so i guess this disputes the rest of your argument as well... [/ QUOTE ] So you're saying sending in 7,000 troops to help in a mass genocide that has killed approximately 200,000 to 400,000 people and left several million homeless since 2003 is a legitimate effort? You're more than welcome to dispute the other points in my post as well such as finding no WMD in Iraq and the rising demand of oil in the next 20-30 years. I'd be more than willing to read any information you would provide that could disprove these points.

[/ QUOTE ] I hate to tell you this but if we're invading countries for the sole reason of stopping genocide then we're way behind because this happens all over the world, Darfur for example, and the US hasn't raised a legitimate finger to help those people. The war in Iraq was politically motivated because A) The value and scarcity of oil will rise dramatically over the next several decades as India and China's economies become more developed, therefore more of their citizens buy cars and demand/prices rise. The US having a major military presence in the Middle East gives them some control and influence over the oil. B) The Middle East is becoming an increasingly hostile region in the world and has been for some time and the US wanted to establish a major military base in the region so that it could potentially control such enemies as Iran if military action becomes mandatory (just as the US set up bases/missle silos in Turkey on the border of the USSR during the Cold War). The unfortunate truth is that "one of the best presidents" lied to the American people about the war, fabricated amazing tales of weapons of mass destruction (5 years and they've yet to be found) that Saddam Hussein had and could potentially strike the US with, and fabricated a war using the victims of 9/11 as prophaganda to make it appear necessary. I do support the U.S. troops stationed in Iraq and what sacrifices they've made, but it doesn't change the fact that I do not believe in the reason why they're over there. George Bush is a terrible president and has done more in his 8 years to hurt the perception of the U.S. with his questionable policies, diplomacy, and general disregard for the overall well being of the United States.
  4. [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Ok ive held this in for several years now and I think its about time i speak whats on my mind. You all want to know what i think is wrong with this country its people like Tid Bit. Bush is too me anyway one of the best presidents that this country has ever had he has done things for this country that have helped us in the long run. Let me tell you something these folks that want to go around complaining over the president here is the great thing about the United States you can pack your stuff up and get out and you dont have to deal with it anymore. I myself want a president that is gonna stand up to those that are a danger not only too us but the rest of the world. I cant believe all the people that trash the man that runs this country i dont care what party the president is I will still support whoever it is. Why because they are the president of the country that I love so very much and when people start supporting the president instead of degrading everything he does or says the better off we will be. [/ QUOTE ] Bush has done his share of good and bad things but you're seriously misinformed if you consider him one of the best presidents ever. To me, it sounds like you're a supporter of totaltarianism or a dictatorship. [/ QUOTE ] I dont know where you would get im a supporter for a dictatorship but thats the beauty about this country you have your opinion and I have mine. [/ QUOTE ] I just got the impression from your first post that George Bush could invade Canada, citing reasons such WMDs or funding terrorism, and you'd be completely in favor of it.

  6. From what many people have told me, Bill Clinton benefited from many of Reagan's policies/plans that came to fruition during the 1990s long after he was out of office. I don't know if this is true or not but it doesn't seem that far fetched.
  7. [ QUOTE ] Why is the assistant principal in charge of contacting schools about athletic scholarships? Shouldn't it be the guidance councelor's or the coach's job? [/ QUOTE ] From my experience, Coach Simon does the very least possible in order to help his players go to the next level including not returning phone calls from college coaches, not sending game film when requested, and withholding letters of interest from players. It happened to quite a few people that I knew.
  8. I'm not really surprised considering Dr.Black is a moron. Reading things like this make me glad that my class made fun of her at Move Up Day and made her cry.
  9. [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] something to do with the Va schedules. couldnt be worked out. it also effected the Graham game being two weeks into their sched. [/ QUOTE ] VA is starting their season a week earlier than WV which i hope doesnt give Graham too much of an advantage [/ QUOTE ] They'll need the extra practice. [/ QUOTE ] They'll also have a game under their belt before the Graham-Beaver game too... [/ QUOTE ] Like I said, you'll need it...

  11. [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] if people would honestly get the initial thought of Obama being black and muslim, they could realize that he is a good candidate. some people are just blinded by first thought. [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] if people would honestly get the initial thought of Obama being black and muslim, they could realize that he is a good candidate. some people are just blinded by first thought. [/ QUOTE ] I am not a supporter of Barack Hussien Obama. Yes, that is his real name. The thing is, i can not support a man who is not truthful to the people. Obama skirts around talking about his religon and his upbringing. Right now, if you ask any muslim, they will say Obama is muslim as well. and well technically he is, he went to Muslim school early in his childhood. But Barack at one point says he has no religon, well how can the man take an oath with his hand on the bible? secondly, he has very little background in foreign affairs. he has only been a senator for 4 years in the state of illinois. to me that is too little time for me to be seriously considering him to be a presidential candidate. Barack obama opposes the war, and right now we can not leave. The people in Iraq and afganistan havent so why should we give up on them? Truth be told, this is a war against jihadism. Jihadism believe that their main goal is to turn the whole world in to believing in islam. They were once focused on the war in Israel but now it has gravitated to europe and america with their terrorist attacks. not to mention the ones that were thwarted, i think about 6 in the US last year... This is a war that places the good of the western world, against the good of the jihadists... meaning the freedom of religon and democracy compared to the full support of Islam. The thing is, we americans want to pull out because we no longer realize that freedom of speech, religon, and democracy are not a luxury but an earned priviledge. We need to show people that our way is the right way, and push forward in this war... This war may last generations, and can not be supported by just one political party. It will take a bipartisan effort to complete the task at hand... however, i cant see that with obama. He is too set for "change" and is too far liberal to ever bring the two sides together. The hatred of him is too great to overcome. (there is some good that could come out of this war, self-effiency, getting rid of jihadists, boost in economy) the thing is, most of the young voters are voting for him because they are misinformed and are following the fad. I however am not, and heres why: Obama has little experince. Obama wants to allow illegal immigrants to become citizens, even if they entered illegally. Obama wants to allow cities that "harbor" illegals with city laws to stay intact and keep the illegals. Obama wants universal health care coverage... Has anyone seen canada lately? People wait YEARS to get drugs... and guess what... they have universal health care... and he wants to raise taxes to get the money... He supports civil unions. Moral issue there with me. Abortion. He agrees with killing a child all the time, i do not. I do understand there are some cases where it needs to be done. (rape, incest) he supports global warming and the fact that our emmissions are warming up the climate. (quick fact: between 1940 and 1970 was the industrial rev. during that time CO2 emissions shot up, in turn we would expect the temp to go up to right? wrong. It didnt go up, it didnt stay the same. it went down.) he wants to increase taxes on those who have a large "carbon footprint" lol. He does not want to spend time looking for illegal drugs in the Us. maybe thats because he smoked it plenty before. I disagree with having a timetable to get troops out of iraq. thats suicide for those citizens. I am informed. personally I love the conservative thinking of Huckabee... mix that in with the ability to inspire some democrats already and his great economic prowess, (check out arkansas tax system) Barack Hussein Obama has had my ear, and i think he comes across as a phony and fake, he DOES NOT have my vote. [/ QUOTE ] You make all of these accusations but I'd love to see you back it up with actual facts and quotations. I really doubt you can, but feel free to prove me wrong. From what I've read into what you and others have said in this thread, you'll vote for anyone who claims that they will run an administration that is exactly to the principles of Christianity.
  12. Duke won't make the Sweet 16. Period.
  13. [ QUOTE ] I also saw in the BDT this morning that Montcalm's Anthony Graham is signing with West Virginia Tech. If I remember correctly I think this is the second second student in Montcalm history to sign to play football. The first was Adam Havens, the son of Bluefield's coach Craig Havens, and he signed with Concord. So congratulations to Anthony on his success and i hope he does well and gets some real playing time. [/ QUOTE ] Anthony is a good guy, I worked with him for a few years. I'm very happy that he's getting a chance to play on the next level.
  14. [ QUOTE ] Duke is always over-rated....always... But I guess UNC isint...I mean, its not like they lost to Maryland at home while Duke beat them in Maryland [/ QUOTE ] That's a flawed way of comparing teams, regardless of sport.
  15. Duke is overrated this year, IMO. UNC by double digits.
  16. [ QUOTE ] http://www.nj.com/giants/roadtrip/index.ssf/2008/01/ahmad_bradshaws_hometown_backi.html Kevin Manahan, a journalist from the Newark Star-Ledger stopped by the great town of Bluefield, VA to see where "Mod" is from. GREAT ARTICLE. [/ QUOTE ] Very classy. I like the acknowledgeable of Coach Carlock with the picture in the foreground.
  17. [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] On a related note, Fred Simon creates a fertile breeding ground for those who hate Bluefield. Did five of those ten losses that Witt had come at the hands of Bluefield? No wonder Fred Simon creates a fertile breeding ground for James Monroe fans to hate Bluefield. [/ QUOTE ] No, more him being a butthole than anything. [/ QUOTE ] I really doubt you've ever met in person and spoken to him. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong...
  18. Personally I think Willie should be considered for the job along with the other names mentioned above.
  19. I think it's time for JM to run the spread.
  20. I would say unreal expectations and unappreciative fans have more to do with the resignation than health reasons.
  21. [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] however throwing ZERO interceptions in the postseason against three good teams...that is pretty damn good...they should be praising him at this point...but go ahead and do what everyone else has been doin and count them out...thats what they want you to do [/ QUOTE ] You shouldn't let factors such as a graduate of your high school being on the same team as Manning cloud your judgment. He is a mediocre QB at best, accept it. [/ QUOTE ] well the mediocre qb lead his team to the superbowl [/ QUOTE ] You and I have extremely different definitions of the word lead.

  23. [ QUOTE ] Yeah, I bet if somebody owed you $4 Million that is what you would do just let it go. [/ QUOTE ] The disputes need to be handled privately and professionally. This mud slinging in the press on both parties is unnecessary and a little ridiculous at this point.
  24. This is really growing old. Both parties are having their names dragged through the mud so I think it's time for them to finally let it go and part ways. End of story.
