Same boat here. Hoping to hear has Narrows did with Richlands and Galax since I couldn't make it.

It no longer fits this discription but Ragsdale Field in Narrows used to be such a field. Was the baseball home field of the New River Rebels, Chicago White Sox affiliate, Appalachian League team back in the late 40's.

A stab at the Narrows one, this is assuming a game didn't get shifted around. My best guess is James Monroe is filling what has normally been the post GIles bye week, the bye week gets moved back a week, and Honaker sliding into what was Covington's week . The offer is in basketball instead of football but Kolier Pruett got a offer from Army. Has visited ETSU for football.

I don't know for sure. Since joining the Pioneer, we've travelled to Craig in the odd years and that would be our 5th road game. So unless, Narrows is cool with a 4 game home schedule, which is seriously doubt, I would think it's at Narrows. But again, that's just me guessing.

As far as Narrows goes, don't know the dates outside of the ones already announced from others but the games we don't have locked down dates released for yet are the games with Auburn and James Monroe in non-district and the rest of the district slate of East Mont, Craig, and Parry McCluer. I would think Auburn is week 1 as it has been for years.

Wasn't aware of that information. At the end of the day, the boys ended with 3 losses on the season. All 3 to the 2 teams that played for the title. Easily best season in school history. We'll take it.

Narrows actually is one of Auburn's 2 losses. They split the regular season.

1C Auburn 7 East Mont 0 Narrows 7 Grayson Co. 2 GW 12 Highland Co. 1 Auburn get the winner of Galax and Parry McCluer. Haven't seen a score for that one yet. Narrows hosts GW Monday.

Heath Puckett and Joey Meadows. Those guys came up from 3rd grade and up when Bland's little league played in Narrows' little league. Always got along and had damn good games with that bunch from day 1 but you can bet come February of 1999, we'd seen enough of them 2, especially Puckett. Multiple games a year 3rd thru 12th grade.
