  1. Germans attack Pearl Harbor! Just yanking your chain. ;). Obama said that a little while back though, I'm pretty sure.
  2. And $1.81 up here. But I'll get some of that sweet VA gas this weekend when I'm back in town.
  3. LOL. Swinging from the highest branch of the intellectual tree, Ms. Spears isn't! Both of them, for that matter. :)
  4. Exactly, this is more what I'm hitting at. If my friend from LA saw this, he'd make a snide remark about how backwater we are. And then I'd tell him about LA's "highest crime rate in the U.S." and "gang-related violence". It just reflects badly on this area, but this is MUCH more common in the cities. Heck, it's much more common near Harrisburg, for that matter.
  5. My family drives solely Daimler/Chrysler products. Each of them have run strong well past 200K miles.
  6. Nah, Deron turned to avoid the teabag. He could've easily executed it had he wanted. ;) And it's not a hardcore teabag anyway. You know where I'm going with that one...
  7. UVA has a better offense than VT. Mike Groh directs a more proficient offense than Bryan Stinespring. Not good. If you all wouldn't cheer everytime Groh's left to twist in the wind another year, I might have some pity. ;)
  8. I agree, it's positively ludicrous. Mack's got another 10 years left in him if he wants to drag it out. Either this, or he's planning on retiring much sooner than he possibly might. Having the "next man up" is getting a little ludicrous when it gets to this point.
  9. Rodriguez is trying to break Roger Clemens's all-time record of most bridges burned. Didn't you all know that? ;)
  10. I don't quite think what Washington did qualifies as "tea-bagging". I would say more, but it has to be a TOS violation.
  11. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncw/recap?gameId=283222633 GREAT game for the ladies. They seldom get any love on this board, so I figured this was as good a time as any. Perhaps Debbie Ryan has one last national title run left in her...
  12. Good stuff, and a creative use for the survey.
  13. You're even beating my Central PA pace now. Just $1.83 up here.
  14. I totally agree with this. Man, this reflects SO poorly on these individuals. People sometimes talk down about rural Appalachia, and most of the time it upsets me. If they do after seeing this, I'll have to shamefully agree. These sorts are certainly in the minority, but this is disheartening.
  15. Hmmm. I know Nick was dating women about 3 weeks after the divorce decree was filed. "Irreconcilable differences", I looked up. Jessica's an attractive woman, but I don't like my women, well, ditzy.
  16. That'd work fine by me: if Miami dropped the next two, what UNC would do in their final two games would be irrelevant for the UVA crew. These tiebreakers are crazy, but interesting. And in this ACC, everyone's going to have problems with every game. Tightest conference in the land, from top to bottom.
  17. I'd never know this if not for my fiancee, but Nick cheated on Jessica. Jessica was an Ice Queen after that for a while, and deservedly so, I'd think. Hopefully she and Tony stay together. It's good for whichever playoff team goes against them in the Wild Card/Divisional Round. ;), J/K.
  18. Yep, Landesburg the McD-AA is a freshman. He broke Jeff Lamp's freshman record for points in a game. This is definitely a team geared toward '09-'10 and '10-'11. Especially if we can pull our Renardo Sidney. Man, man, man, that's a Final Four type of team with him, Tristan Spurlock and McKie. For WVU, Bryant did a good job coming off the bench for 16 minutes: not bad for a freshman at all. Of course, Ruoff, Butler, and Smith looked pretty solid. You guys will likely be in the Tournament this year.
  19. If they weren't dabbling with actual dangerous behavior, it'd be kind of funny. If they weren't...
  20. I'd be happy to discuss our guys. :) I wish they'd at least let a couple of beat writers come to these scrimmages, just to let the outside public know at least who's progressing well, etc. Of course, no score allowed by NCAA rules, but I'd like to see that tradition continue. Close enough to have a good showdown with a non-conference school, and not far enough away to be unfeasible. From what I heard (and it's not a lot), Farrakhan really dazzled, and that helped him land the starting spot tonight. I know Tucker and Baker didn't see much action there, because they were injured at the time. Zeglinski ran the point efficiently, too. And that's about all I know from our end. We had a bit of a scare against VMI tonight. Played too much at their tempo, but it's comforting to know that we can put up 107 on a team. Landesburg (our McD AA) was spectacular: 28 points. Our main #4 Scott had 26 and 18. Hopefully, this'll translate to ACC play. I don't think we'll finish last.
  21. Perhaps I've got too thick of skin, I don't know. I sure know that I've received quite a bit of flack for cheering for UVA (and having went to college there, indirectly), from WVU (partly) and VT (mostly) fans alike. I'll be happy to stay out of any future WVU threads, but if the fans can't take it, don't dish it. I'll be happy for a truce.
