I watched every play for Graham this year and would have to say that when they put David Marrs in on defense that turned Graham's season around. Whether or not that means he is deserving of POY I don't know, but he should at least be one of the top candidates.

Exactly CPF....Graham won 5 of 7 despite the coaching.

Another thing I found kind of strange was that when the game was finally over the refs all stood around and very slowly left the field. I can't ever recall seeing ref's linger like that? Usually they get the heck off the field in a hurry.

Gotta agree with MNHokie...officiating was horrible both ways. How they put two seconds back on the clock at the end of the game was amazing? Wyatt is the biggest crybaby I've ever seen for a head coach. Tazewell played their butts off and were no where near the team they were when they got blown out at Mitchell Stadium earlier in the year. I'm really wondering if it wasn't crybaby Wyatt that put the holes in the wall at Mitchell....the players are more grown up than he is.

Graham did get a sophomore from Pctn. Graham is supposedly getting two freshmen next year from Pctn...but that's a ways off so who knows?

Graham has no heart? Explain how you come up with this. They may not have much in the way of coaching or other things, but they definately have heart.

I don't remember the score but it was a whole lot to 6...Richlands middle whipped Graham's middle school team. Seems like it was maybe 40-6?

Graham JV 30 Richlands JV 22 This was a very hard fought game. Both teams looked good and were hitting hard. Congrats to both on good seasons!

GHS/RHS....I really don't know what to make of this game with the way Graham has been playing as of late. I think it may be closer than most folks think. Graham 28 Richlands 24 As for Abingdon....they are a funny bunch....Graham won last year, our JV beat their JV already this year, I'm pretty confident our varsity will win again this year.

Great game now two weeks in a row. G-Men are starting to play some good football on both sides of the ball. Coach Marrs has even put in subs the last two weeks!

Graham's JV is still undefeated after beating Tazewell 33-26 tonight in a very good game. Both teams played tough.

Graham didn't give up 40 to Princeton.

G-Men could win this if they can get the defense going a little better.

There are no boosters anymore...men's boosters have maybe 3-4 guys and the womens have just a few more members (maybe). 0-10 is very possible this year...and probably next year as well if things don't change. Very few JV players get in the games and there are only 4-5 juniors playing this year...I'm betting a lot of kids won't come back out next year. Can't say I don't blame them either.

Half the kids on the team don't work out in the summer...discipline is no longer a factor at Graham...the JV gets only a handful of JV games a year and they get little quality time in practice, and never see time in a blow out game. Some of the coaches really talk down to the players and some never build kids up after they tear them down. Coaches are never willing to step up and share the blame for the teams poor performance. It's just not a good program right now. Sad.
